- This is 20 you didn't know about Minecraft 1.20 trails & tales update. New things were added such as new mobs, structures, blocks and items and this video features facts & changes about them! For example, the sniffer egg will hatch faster if it's on a moss block! Or that pottery shards were originally called ceramic shards.
This video will also show many other secret things in version 1.20

If i remember, in Minecraft legacy edition you could always swap your armor with the one you were holding.
It has also been a thing for a long time in Bedrock
Bedrock seems to get all the cool features before us java players! :(
@@iDeactivateMC I play Bedrock for its exclusives like cauldron tipped arrows and building forward over lava or the void, but I really like Java's exclusives like slow but strong axes and better redstone
@@iDeactivateMC well, there's many features that Java has that Bedrock doesn't yet and some have just made it to 1.20 BE like Banners on Shields and 1.5 blocks sneaking.
Good to see them adding parity on every update :D

Imma be honest, this man makes me feel nostalgic for the old versions of the game even though I never played them...he makes it feel like 2012 in a weird way. It's hard to explain but I love it

I was in 3rd grade in 2012.
Actually Anthony, because of snapshot 23W16A, the pottery shards are now called pottery SHERDS because of precise research on how you call them. Shards would only called on random objects like crystals. Whereas sherds can be called like that as a broken vase piece.
Sherds are a type of shard, so a sherd is a shard but a shard isn't always a sherd

Signs can also have messages on the BACK of them too! Just right click on the back of a sign (even hanging) and you have a double-sided sign!
Also Sniffers can now give Pitcher Pods, which grow into Pitcher Plants that give Cyan dye. Sadly though, its very hard to farm the plants Sniffers give because of their mechanics, so dont expect to be able to create Orange and Cyan dye farms very easily

@@varuhash50 there was is not interact button to change a sign on pocket edition I thought? Maybe they added it in the update, I haven’t actually checked yet, lol. I am bad at problem solving, ty
@@PartsOfABox It’s not a button, I’ve only played Pocket Edition once so idk how it works but I think “interact” is a light tap like how you open a Crafting Table or placing blocks

Believed you are able to switch your armor from your hotbar in Bedrock edition. I am surprised Java doesn’t have that feature first.

I loved the editing on this one! Also I actually didn't know the change to fire in different biomes, that's pretty interesting :)
For the effort to get the torch flower they should make it so that it emits at least a little light

The Armor Trims reminds me of the MINECRAFT STORY MODE armour designs. Who else misses that game?
Because that was literally the first ever MINECRAFT game I ever played and started playing the regular MINECRAFT game...who else misses MCSM that master piece.?

Think of a nice feature you would like to see get added to the game
Mine is different wood types of crafting tables, they don't need to have any specific functions, I just want a matching crafting table for every wood type, the oak crafting table is iconic, but I have to be real, it feels out of place in an acacia or cherry wood house for example, also a cherry wood crafting table would just look nice.
For me tools too. Imagine just the same useless wooden sword but in cherry PINK!

correction: potion glint was removed in 1.19.4, not 1.20.
glint strength was added in 1.19.4, not 1.20.
jukeboxes were altered in 1.19.4, not 1.20.
you can access specific paintings in creative mode in 1.19.4.
the new defult skins were added before 1.30.

FINALLY! The Armor switching thing at 0:42 has been needed for so long. I'm glad to see it in Java now.

@@Helloandalbye it has been, but only on the Console Edition. Then when Bedrock happened it migrated to that edition. Granted they had to figure out what to do for Pocket Edition and Windows, but they eventually did. Now it'll finally be on Java.
In bedrock edition you've been able switch your armor by right clicking it for a while- I didnt realize this feature wasnt in java :o

1:15 this has been a thing for ages and is not new in 1.19.4. Fire burning out quicker in certain biomes has existed for many years and antvenom even mentioned it in a video almost 4 years ago. What they changed in 1.19.4 is just that this is now controlled by a block tag. I don't understand why so many people think it would be a new feature.
5:39 sniffers no longer drops moss block upon death 'cause mojang don't want people to kill the sniffer for moss block to place under the sniffer egg to make the hatching fast

So, the mob head drop down menu in the items tab has been updated with the pigglin head? Cool. I wonder if the same block distance site reduction thing that happens to mobs when you wear their heads has been applied to this one.
When I found my FIRST cherry biome it had a woodland mansion,A hut,And a desert temple it was a great glitchy thing and I was surprised and I was so happy

My biggest dissapointment with 1.20 is that the ceramic shards can't be dyed or are just monochromatic in general. I wish they were more vibrant or could be further customized

The title's rather misleading here, since these (at least the first two and the ones you've mentioned in the intro) are the primary features of the update.
I've been searching for the trail ruineds for so long because i fond it in my world not knowing what it is-

Welp we’ve done it fellas, everything a minecraft java player and bedrock player finally get what we wanted, in one update, probably the best update since 1.16
Now all we have to wait for is 1.21 or 1.20.1 to bring us back every old block in minecraft including the nether reactor. (i hope minecraft sees this comment cause we need every single old block back in minecraft, they had so much use)
Now that they added cherry trees to Minecraft it will be a lot easier to make a Japanese looking city in Minecraft
in the aquatic update u can switch armor aswell

i play bedrock and java is definitely considered the default minecraft
