I have a SC memory from last year where we got several inches of snow and this year it's 60 out and sunny. The sun feels good but this is so weird, definitely the warmest January and February for us in 34 years.

I'm in PA. Our winter has been nearly nonexistent. This is not normal and its very troubling. When I was a kid, we had snow on the ground from October until April. So many snow days. Winter 76-77, we stayed in school until the end of June that year to make up the days we lost due to severe cold and snowy weather. Started noticing the change in our winters in the late eighties. Seems like we are on the brink of losing our winters here on the eastern side of PA. Hope I'm wrong, but it doesn't look good.
I know what you mean it’s crazy when you’re ready at the base of the mountain and still barely get any snow I’m from Gettysburg so I’m south Central Pennsylvania but still Caledonia State Park isn’t that far away it’s a 12 minute ride to get to the mountain and this winter has been crap. Big snow we had was back in 2016.
I'm also in PA. Told myself I'd know we were screwed if it stopped snowing on my birthday.... it hasn't snowed that day in years (late November, snowed every year for over 20 years)
I hope we DO lose winter completely...uts a useless season and needs to disapear forever

Western PA here. Yes it is very troubling. I remember a lot of harsh winters during my childhood and most of my adult life. Now it's more like no coat, no scarf, no snow tires required.
I hope that it helps to break CA drought.

Ugh, I’m in Oklahoma and we are already having 80+ temperatures. We haven’t really had a winter at all, which leads me to dread spring and summer! I’m a snow girl so I’m extremely disappointed in our weather right now. Hopefully, that will change next fall and winter but I’m not getting my hopes up! Thank you Ryan for all you do! You’re the best!

We had the opposite this year in southern GA. No snow but so many freezing days.
A lot of businesses that depend on winter weather took a big hit on sales, services, tourism, and not good for Mother Nature cycles
Hmmm...we've had sub-zero evenings, several sub-freezing days and a couple of snows here in Arkansas since new year's day, but it's gonna be 80* here Monday...and this summer boy is thrilled!

I agree with what your saying I feel like with a tornado outbreak its like a 20% but severe weather outbreak is likely with a few tornadoes possible and large hail. And with what you said you never know it could change! Thank you for the weather report Ryan and helping the communities stay safe!

I know - the plants/trees think it’s Spring already. My hydrangeas are loaded with buds. Hope all the buds sprouted in past few days don’t get frozen.
It did that last year and a lot of our bushes died in E TN. I’m grateful for the rain as it was so dry too

Every time I watch this I learn a ton about meteorology and weather flows. Looks like in NJ once again we are going to duck the snow and just get rain. Overall has been a mild winter, the Japanese flowering cherry has bloomed 3 times since thanksgiving.

This winter has SUCKED. We were told cold and rainy, good chance of snow. Instead, in SC we're in the second longest streak of no snow in recorded history. I'm so disappointed

I’m in SW Virginia and feel your pain. 2023 was zero snow, this year we got 3 inches. It’s been hanging out in the upper 50s and low 60s lately. We want proper seasons!!!

I'm beyond disappointed in the Upstate. I spend most of the summer dreaming about winter. Another snow-less year is heartbreaking. We used to get a few snows every year. Now we have 2 seasons, Summer and The Armpit of Hell 🤬

Here in Texas we have had maybe a week or two of winter. It's been more like Spring almost all winter. Today was 75' yesterday was 82' 😳 I'm loving it though.

I have lived in Ohio on Lake Erie my entire life and can't remember ever having only 2 snow falls all winter as we have had this year. The past several years it's been less and less but with that it seems like my barometric preasure migraines have increased with the better weather. Instead of 2 months they have increased to about 7-9 months.
As we are nearing the potential trial storms, I am eager to hear your next update! 😊 Thank you for all you do!

It's been like spring this whole winter in Québec near the NH border. The last real snow we had was in november. And we didn't really get any cold either. This is not good. This is terrible. For the crops and for the aquifer.
