G’day and greetings from Tasmania Australia you know if I wasn’t 63 and suffering rheumatoid arthritis and two knee replacements I wouldn’t hesitate I’d buy one in a flash I’ve ridden big touring bikes years ago, well back to dreaming and thank you for an unbiased review God Bless John
That was nice, the comment you made about it being someone elses bike someday and respecting it and not riding it hard. Man one review the guy ran the crap out of a bike they got in just for a customer.
The Rocket III always appealed to me. I was considering selling one of my three to get one of those. Still might. Considering the Bore X Stroke, it's more like a 3 cylinder John Deere engine. All torque.
I had one, sold it to go Harley, back on Triumph now with a Thunderbird Storm, the throttle on the Rocket has to be treated with real respect on a wet greasy city road. I have not been on You Tube recently and have missed your daily vlogs, but they are still as good as ever though.
Had one of the first Rocket III's. Put a K&N filter/ Power Programmer/ Jardine Header, and it Dynoe'd 157 ft lbs TQ, just as it was coming on hard the clutch started to slip. So yeah tons of torque. Sold it and never looked back.......lol.
Have an 05 rocket3 ....it is a good touring platform....the one like that one is set up even better with the bags, glass and smaller rear 16 in tire size...
My Vstar is nice, but I get so tired of the wind blowing it around. Can't wait to be able to upgrade to a larger motorcycle. According to Triumph you are right, 163 lb/ft of torque. Thats more than my Camry, bet it has endless power.
I bought this bike three years ago. It's from 2008. No ABS or any other assist systems. You're all alone with 390 Kilos (tanked) and all that torque. I love it, and, it's not a Harley. I'm English so flying the flag a little 😜Good balance, but don't drop it. If you do, then you have to have good leg muscles to lift it. The only thing I don't like is the sound, big bike, small sound.
Always wondered what one of those Triumphs would be like to ride. Thanks for taking us along. I looked it up and some how its still lighter than my Victory Vision is. Not sure how it is being water cooled and all.
Triumph discontinued that bike. They still make the Rocket III Roadster, which has a higher-output version of that engine but does not have a windshield or bags.
Mines an 09 and ill be adding the new 2.5 to its stable when it comes out this year 2019 these bikes are the best trust me . Test ride one and you will understand more than words. Mike in UK
I have an 08 Touring, with K&N air filter and D&D pipes...more power and torque than standard...I love it."(I also have an 05 Rocket and 2020 Street Scrambler)
Going to be Raining this weekend in Georgia. I guess i will be working in the Garage . because I won't be Riding darn it !! LOL and that Bike is just one BIG Beast ..
It's supposed to be the same up here..! I should take your lead and work in the shop, cleaning the dang mess... Lol Yeah, she's one huge bi*@ch..!! But oddly very fun to ride. Thanks Ed!!
Seems strange. I got the roadster but i have clocks. The thunderbird has the clock on the tank. So im guessing its an earlier model. The ealy ones had some issues with them i believe. Sounds sweet though. You apear to be a very confident rider. Hope you get your dream one day. Unfortunatly mine came through the passing of parents. But i would give it up for one more day with them. So ill just enjoy the bike. Thats when , Or if summer ever comes.
Great to see an old friend on an old video on an ol classic. 👍 I love my Tbird 1600 compared to my Harley's , really solid stuff, would you say this is way heavier than you road king ? Enjoyed that man . 👍🏆
Had a 2008,best bike I ever rode,I have had many harleys ,this bike beats them hands down.harleys are hot to ride, not this bike. The seat and ride is comfortably, brakes are great, clutch is like butter.
I would like to see it being reversed into a garage. I saw one owner on UA-cam with an electric winch in order to garage it. Something that heavy certainly requires a reverse gear or a wife who competes ar weight lifting.
I wouldn't... This was a used trade-in that was several years old and owned by us. Been a while since I rode a classic, but I remember it being quite powerful. Thanks for watching!
I have a 2010 rocket touring with fairing and rear trunk. 20 years with Harley. Now I am happy with my rocket 2300cc big guy. It just so magnificent
“Grab a snortin’ handful of it” .. !! Gold mate :)

Glad you liked the R3T. She's a beast, but a gentle one at that. We enjoy your VLOGS. Keep'm coming!
She kinda reminds me of the old boat anchor Cadillacs... Big and smooth, with a huge and powerful motor..! Lol
We appreciate you watching, thanks!!
I really like that sound ! Sweet growl from 2k up.
I've had a rocket for 9yrs - never felt the weight when it is moving. In fact it is exceptionally light steering.
That was a nice motorcycle ride. Thank you for taking us along. I really enjoy your Channel glad I found it.
Thank you very much! We really appreciate you watching!!

Rocket III wow that was different what a cool test ride. Never new about that bike. Very Cool. Be Cool. Be Safe. Thanks.
Neat bike that I'd never seen before. Thanks for the ride along.

Robert W. Pipe it !!
andrew dods How?
Robert W. More opened up exhaust. Plenty of systems out there, incl ones with removable baffles :-)
I have an 08 model, and I love it.....and I also have an 05 Rocket also...
Test rode a Rocket III Touring once. Felt real heavy to me at slow speeds but man what a great ride on the highway!
I wish they still made the touring version. These are a bit hard to find. Especially low mileage.
This is what I ride. Mine is blue. I LOVE this bike.
What a unique and insanely cool bike..! Glad you’re enjoying yours.
Thanks for watching!
I have the 2017 rocket touring. I will never part with it...absolutely love it...
That Big engine has a nice Sound to it!
Always wondered what one of those Triumphs would be like to ride. Thanks for taking us along. I looked it up and some how its still lighter than my Victory Vision is. Not sure how it is being water cooled and all.
I had a GL500, LOVED how it would torque over when you blipped the throttle! hahahaha!
The Rocket3 looks like one awesome frigg'n bike!
Triumph discontinued that bike. They still make the Rocket III Roadster, which has a higher-output version of that engine but does not have a windshield or bags.
Joe Dangelo the touring can be tuned to the roadsters output
Mines an 09 and ill be adding the new 2.5 to its stable when it comes out this year 2019

michael holmes Cheers cobber. Just bought one :-)

What a beast!
I always like to Triumph 650 was a cool bike back in the day handles take care guys pretty well for big bike
Love that bike👌
That is my dream bike. But of course, I said that about all 40 motorcycles I have owned.

It's the touring model, they all have the clocks on the tank. Longer and not so wide wheels, also less HP.
I own this bike . The only thing I hate is the windshield . I am 6 feet 2 inches tall . I wonder if they provide a bigger windshield .
Great to see an old friend on an old video on an ol classic. 👍

Sounds real nice.
That's a big scooter!👍
Riding that big Triumph must have been what it was like throwing your leg over an Indian Four, back in the day.
Exactly what I was thinking.
Git you there.
Great!
I didn't know Pro caliber sold triumph
Is it good as a first motorcycle?
Yes
NO
Maybe
Had a 2008,best bike I ever rode,I have had many harleys ,this bike beats them hands down.harleys are hot to ride, not this bike. The seat and ride is comfortably, brakes are great, clutch is like butter.
What year was that Rocket 3
Shawn I can't find the rocket 3 on the pro caliber site. I would like to know what they are asking for it
I don't see it on there either... I'll run up there and see what's up..!
Thanks Adam!!
Their going to try and get the R3T on the sight today. He didn't have a price for me yet...
I am trying to sell mine 2013 with 6500 miles. Runs without issues.
Triumph Touring =78 kW and 203Nm ... Triumph Rocket Roadster = 109kW and 221Nm
I would want the handle BARS UP A WAYS jUST SAYING.!

😂
I lift weights every day. As I get older do appreciate a lighter bike. But my r3 is paid for. @@LynxStarAuto
A boss hoss torques over alot
I would be the same, huge garage full of bikes and cars haha
Take Care Guys
Chris & Tan :)
Why would you take somebody's brand new bike out on a wet road? The Rocket 3 Classic has 40 more HP than the tourer.
I wouldn't... This was a used trade-in that was several years old and owned by us. Been a while since I rode a classic, but I remember it being quite powerful.
Thanks for watching!
Understand. Thanks for the reply and ride safe.
❤️❤️
👍
Sounds like a tractor
a really angry tractor!
Rocket 3 is so much lighter then my ultra was, handles 10 times better then any harley I ever had.
