I think the title of this video is distracting some people from the intended message, which is to humanize and normalize this unique culture. Everyone who has watched by content for a long time knows I am a traditional culture preservationist. The word "primitive" only refers to their technological level and is not intended in a derogatory sense. I will test new titles in a couple of weeks.
You rather use the word "ancestral" than primitive...
He is ignorant and click baiting at the expense of making these people look bad. falsification
@@kenobihabesha Stop crying about nothing. The video doesn't make them look bad. If you don't like it watch something else.
Preservationist who terms cultures primitive?
Calling them "primitive" is horrible. It's odd that you don't understand that, but I guess we can chalk it up to the classic Negropean self loathing mindset. Words do matter when you are communicating an idea.
They are not primitive at all. They have their social organizations, culture, traditional education, and their indigenous religion. They have their marriage system, etc. They resisted colonization and have preserved their identity and have never been slaves to anyone. Respect cultures. They have their own religion
I think you mean respect some of the traditional cultures of the world. There's traditional people in Papua new guinea that a few decades ago were still eating human meat. I'm sure you wouldn't call for respecting their traditions
@@diegoflores9237 it was forced upon them from its beginning, They didn't always eat humans just like the Carib's in Dominica. Oppression and starvation surely makes a wise man mad let alone a people that felt they had no choice in order to survive. Before too long they become a custom to it as the norm and then they praise their God as a ritual in some cultures
I love it!
I'd rather live in a community like this one than a city slum.
It is a slum😂😅
At least to my Namibian eyes😢
Wow these people are rich and rich in culture. They are living in very nice environment.
They treasure livestock, they have food.
Generally they have everything
That is why I am annoyed with this man. They think Eu values are the only norm, who said so? It is like the Masai of Kenya, if we are not careful even their government is not doing anything to protect their culture. They are the main tuorist attraction in Kenya but people from Europe have gone in and are quietly changing these people's cultures in exchange for drilling water. They built so called schools which undermind the culture of the people and dressed the kids in Western clothes. Soon you hear they have started to introduce gay marriage among that group. Why can't they mind their own business?
This is a very nice clean homestead. I like it. They are also very good people.
Hello
They are not primitive. Just culturally rich and true to their traditions and identity
I am from Buganda and I admire the Karamajong, our brothers and sisters that have preserved their rich traditional culture better than most of us other Africans.
That does not mean they are primitive !
So please make a re-title to the - most Traditional tribe in Uganda.
These houses are BEAUTIFUL!
I was waiting to see what you describe as primitive but to my surprise behold an awesome life full of creativity.
I was once engaged to a man from the Luo tribe. When I introduced him to my parents, my father asked him if he was expecting a dowry or something like that, and Odhiambo responded, that it is usually 12 cows, but in Greci's case, it is reduced to 9. My father asked what? And Odhiambo tells him, 'She misbehaves." This story is true, by the way. I never married the man, because with time We both realized the differences between us were too great, so marrying would simply not work. But, Odhiambo was a very good person. And for a long time after we broke up, I really missed him. Good people, he was!
What did you do to misbehave?
@@asherburns2953 for just one thing, threatened him with telling his mom back home that he actually enjoyed baking angel food cake. for a man from his tribe cooking was done by the wife, only. he'd believe me, innocent as he was and would beg me not to do such an emasculating thing to him. i have to admit, however, that I had one hell of a lot of fun! Poor dear Odhiambo Uso!
Thank you for presenting this culture to the world. I loved seeing the people and how they live. I thank God that they love each other and take care of each other. Seems like peace. Something we don’t have here in America. ❤
A beautiful people with a beautiful culture. That jumping dance is similar to Masai dance 💃❤️❤️❤️
They are similar ethinic group as the Masai, these ones are called Koramajong a Nilo-hamitic aka Ateker ethnic group like the Langi, Teso, Kumam and many others are in Uganda, Kenya, Sudan etc.
They all belong to the same family (ateker) turkanas the itesots and few others in kenya
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK BROTHER: WATCHING FROM U.S.
Wow, that’s beautiful. I just love that culture greetings from the US. I would love to visit someday when I get to Uganda.
Do not do it. It is their home. Would you like foreigners to visit your home and film you?
please show us the slums in the US...we know people live like pigs there but you are hiding it
Why are you people aggressive towards her. She hasn't done anything wrong except admire the people in the video. Why the hate?
Woooow these people are happy with their way of life
WOW this is interesting, i like the simple life, we call it primitive but it is far better than the slums in kampala, The land is fertile, green, they don't need modern life as long as they have food to eat etc. Roads are good, not many potholes like the modern world🤣
Live and let live.....organically speaking I fuljoyed this🔥🔥🔥
Simple life yet very rich culture enjoyed watching this documentary, thanks,
These women are more expensive than a Ferrari.... I can't afford them
😂😂😂😂😅😅
These people are rich naturally because having cattle traditionally is a sign of wealth, and having a lot of children, land, women.
Absolutely amazing this has brought me joy. Thank you so much. I hope to travel to Uganda soon I have made friends there.
How is it no one has ever said that the Amish are primitive since they do mot use electricity, motor vehicules, stop school at 12th grade and never go to college. This is described as their culture, but for Africans they are deemed Primitive. The narrator betrays his primitive understanding of his own false cultural superiority. Have these tribes not survived into the 21st century without the destructive vices of modernity that cause developed countries to manufacture death for profit.
Primitive is relative
@@tealsquare Thr root of Primitive is Primus, latin meaning First . Premier = French, Primero = Spanish. The word has been incorrectly used to refer to : Old, backward, stupid, even uncivilized . These are faux pas. Mostly its the media doing it to create a sense of who is superior or inferior, modern or backward. But there would be no modern ìf there was to first ie primitive.
Calm down. People laugh at the Amish all the time
Thanks for a very nice video. Wise guide explains the respect in not showering the tribal people with gifts, thereby tempting them with stupid modern needs, but respecting these people by appreciating what they offer. Beautiful people with pride. Respect!!!!!
I appreciate your feedback
You make it feel like I'm walking with you! Keep up the good work!
Beautyful people in the planet love from india❤❤❤
Am Ugandan but I have never been to this part of Uganda thank u for sharing in Kampala we believe people from the north a the most trustworthy people 🙌🏿am a muganda
That's right every one is equal
Thank you for this honest version of the two countries
very informative report and so true: we are all equal!
Hello willie. well researched + narrated. YOU HAVE HIT A JACKPOT! this type of content is way more interesting than clean streets of kigali, ignoring human rights , political oppression , interview beautiful women with funny American accent. please do more educational + social anthropology content. WELL DONE
Lol you want every country to conform to us standards look at what is happening there and don't judge others
So far, the video has performed well, which I'm glad to see because that's an incentive to make more like this. 😊
Kigali fake life show off propaganda
The narrator with a fake accent and a bigoted superiority complex is the only primitive person in this video. These people have preserved their beautiful culture unlike the fake people all over Africa emulating the colonizers.
Your series about uganda are the most diverse. This country is so rich in culture & experiences..😮
, you are extremely creative. And your footages are amazing. You are like the modern day National Geographic. your narratives are consistently clear. I am opening up a business in Uganda growing food, and I truly look forward to meet you. Is your channel monetized.
Thanks for your fantastic encouragement! Yes, the channel is monetized.
These tribes stand for heritage of Africa content.
So cool ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Almost thought i was late, Such a great masterpiece.
So educative, informative yet also entertaining.
I smiled seeing the woman who received the money at the end of the video wearing a Nike t-shirt. Anyway it is what it is! Let me jump to another video
I'm from canada. Thanks for the video.
These people are so similar to the Masaai of Kenya.
Yeah
Great ..informative...
The head stool is still around after THOUSANDS OF YEARS!!!!!!!!!! WOW!
Thanks for your
that town even looked clean than Kampala.
Just love this video...great job
Thanks!
@@WillieFungo why did you call them PRIMITIVE?
Very interesting 👏
I spent three nights in a manyata in the middle of the hot season in Gulu, coldest nights of my life, and I've spent time in the coldest places in Uganda; think Kisoro & Buhweju.
I like the simple life and happy living.
This is my very first time to tour Moroto (through this video) although I'm Ugandan from western region. Thank you for uploading the video. Very unique and beautiful culture.
How can people raid each other for cattle like that. Why doesn't your gvt do something 😢😮
I’m convinced that life’s where I belong away from all the unnecessary stress of modern life paying a bank all my life till I die 😂
great video. very educational + entertaining. best part ? greeting from afar . out of weapon range !
@Willie Fungo: What camera 📷 do u use?
I would love to live here ❤❤
I admire the rich culture. Please maintain your culture.
Great video...!!!🧔🏿.
Nkusasidde nnyo!
Oh that mankind from all nations could live in peace and enjoy the wonderful blessing of our redeemer
Nilothic culture is stretched sudan to Tanzania along cush on one side bantu on the other side, its very visible culture but underrated in Africa.
That was great!❤😂🎉
Thanks!
It's more natural and beautiful there.nature is beautiful
Thanks for the video.
That's where i grew up and can still see the shops of Moroto divided by two way street.
The stools are called Ngakicholong 😂. It can be used for sitting and as well as a pillow.
Beyond is the Mount Moroto range.
You went there during rainy season, but it could be very dry in dry season.
Wow, thanks for commenting. I really appreciate the hospitality of your people.
@@WillieFungo I'am not a Karimojong, but my loved one was a government official who worked in Moroto for many years.
I love this masterpiece, however you a whole trip. I’m gonna give you some grace though because you’re young and grew up in the west so I understand. I know when your done exploring, your views on things will change and you will have a more mature outlook. I say this with all due respect and love.💗
Thank
Simping is global, that got me
What makes a people primitive??
250 cows. Do you know how much in south Africa??? A lot of millions
Too much
Go reka sphanana ka 3m
They are not in South Africa? Hahahaaaaa that's the pride of a womanhahahaaa
This is 200 cowes congratulations good job 👍❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Come on bro. These are not primitive people. They are traditional.
Good video by the way, Willy Fungo; I watched in one sitting. lol
Fantastic! I'm glad to hear that.
@@WillieFungo
Yeah, I watched a lot of your video; you dun well, junior.
Just keep in mind that "primitive" ALSO means backwardness -- popular/unpopular usage can change original/dictionary meaning of words generally or Regionally.
Don't insist on using "primitive" to describe people who resent its use.
For a mere Dictionary does not tell the full story of word usage.
For Successful Communication, the listeners' point of view must not be disregarded.

Place to live life
Government policy can change culture dynamics for sure
Me gusta saber de Africa en general, pero l a voz del tio del video da mucho sueño. Usare este video para las nochez de insomnio.
wow HALLELUYAH PRAISE THE LORD
Make a video with
African Nyarko!
I paid 2 goats, 200 lbs of rice, 3 chickens, and 150 lbs of flower for my wife.
I wonder how deep the water table is and how much it would cost to hire a driller.
1000 dollars
Damn
Never heard of any village communitiee owning AK47s and raiding another village for cows across Southern Africa 😂😱😱
I trvale extensively across Zimbabwe, South Africa, Botswana, Mozambique and zambia and this is unheard of😁🥺💯
So primitive that Stanbic (Standard) Bank has to establish business there… you surely don’t have to make it so dire for people to listen 😢😢😢
Very useless title
Primitive is the average westerner...who doesn't do for self but depends on others for food and shelter...clothes...etc. through the exchange of monetary
I don’t see what would make them primitive!
why use the word primitive ? to me these are their culture.
Somewhere are the elders, I am only seeing young people.
In yrs past many black american families the women were given the hard earned money to keep and manage. for the same
my uncles did this as well, but in this day and time here in america it may not be so widely done any longer.
Primitive??
Primitive no
Ur content is amazing, though the title is stereotypical. Be a little sensitive/ respectful on packaging
Thanks for the feedback.
What is the REAL origin of games such as 'Drop It Peter Boy' and Tug-O-War?
I was wondering the same thing.
Since the advent of Ytube, I have noticed that many inventions may have been copied from ordinary people around the world, renamed and patented as the work of those who own the patent.@@WillieFungo
I wonder the price for one of those tribal women in her 20s. Auctioned? Just offer and acceptance? Race matter? Age matter? Anyone know?
It’s so obvious they are growing Corn 🌽 /Maiso/Maïs. Ref. minute 10.
Doesn't matter. I ask questions for the sake of the viewer, and to spark conversation.
True Wakanda
how could call them primitive when they are not hunter and gatherers. they are pastoralists
They are around the iron age, which is technically a higher level of metallurgy than the ancient Egyptians and Minoan Greeks.
It takes a single great mind, one great leader to rise up one day and decide that his people will leave the thatched primitive dwellings to live in proper houses! Muammar Ghedaffi did that for his Libyan people at the begining of his reign! When foreigners (europeans and Chinese) arrive and see vast fertile unoccupied lands, they literally have to fight off the temptation to eliminate the locals to take over! It aches my heart! And this is all over Africa!
This is so so wrong. These people don't want to leave their lifestyle, nor should they be shamed for maintaining their ancient traditions. And this is one isolated ethnic group, not the lifestyle of most of Uganda or Africa.
@@WillieFungo No Willie, it is not wrong! And what they want for themselves is irrelevant! What is good for them and the general society is!! Besides, there is a way their way of life can be improved! As world population grows weak and improperly developed cultures will inevitably be over ran by others! Think of cattle rustling as a culture and according to this very presentation, many get killed when rustling attempts get made!! Think of the advantages the people of Karamoja would enjoy if their culture gets properly developed; good hospitals, good housing, proper security so everyone keeps their animals without thinking of thieves, tourism, schools, proper roads and proper ranching etc. Progress is imposed and enforced. Once the people see its benefits, they become happy it happened!! Think of the women of that culture today, they are no longer walking around flapping their bare breasts because Idi Amin did the right thing getting them to cover up!
@@tersooawen4249 There is nothing wrong with bare breasts. You are brainwashed. But I do agree that the cattle rustling needs to stop.
How are they primitive you can say a small village did you go to some other villages in in Africa and see how it is?
This video is offensive. It smacks of stereotypical and derogatory European perception of some African communities. The producer must apologize.
The modern man will allow no one to dictate to him. The modern man dictates to the man he thinks is primitive. Is that FAIR?
That's crazy what was that 😮😮😮😮😮
