Such a rad van for Dave, I’ve driven a sprinter (3500) for years and they are impressive. Only issue is if the wind 💨 is howling hold on to your butts 🤣 they act like a sail boat.

21:44 That's absolute BS that he just said, that button is for the rear fog light. Has nothing to do with letting people know you are getting out. It's so when you are driving in dense fog you can see the rear of the vehicle. And yes it is a feature that is used in Europe.

Was honestly expecting the gmc to have like double the miles it does. 190k is pretty low. I drive a 2012 Chevy express with 471k. Runs and drives great.

What the sales guy is describing at 21:35 sounds a lot like the rear fog light to me. If he meant the front fog lights at 21:30, it's definitely the rear fog light. Rear fog lights in Europe are on one side only, about as bright as a brake light, and red. It's always a completely separate light though. The icon is the same as the front fog lights, but usually facing left, and with the beams going horizontal instead of slightly downwards. I mean, or just google "rear fog light icon". As somebody from the Netherlands, who lives a few kilometers from Germany, I've never heard of a light we turn on to alert people that we're gonna be stepping out of the vehicle.
One other thing he could be talking about is a parking light. I hardly ever see anybody use them, but most cars have an option to dimly light a front and rear light on one side only, which is meant to be used when you're parked (partially) on a road in a dark area, so other road users can see that there's something there.
Also, what on earth does the guy mean with "In Europe they exit out this side of the car"? How do Americans exit cars, through the roof or the bottom escape hatch or something?
Also, try to imagine that these vans are pretty much THE standard for delivery drivers in western Europe (probably not as fitted out though), and then imagine how delivery drivers treat them.
Also nr2: Those are 270 (well, 260) degree doors, Dave's old van had 180 degree doors.

I'm excited for Dave it's a nice looking van. I'm just sad what trucks and vans have turned into, no dip sticks for oil or transmission? I mean come on that's not right. Those old GM vans are the most reliable pieces of garbage vehicles there are lol. They always have something broken the door handles never work the electricity just does its own thing sometimes but they just keep going. The seating position in the dodge, Ford and Mercedes vans are definitely worse in my opinion though over the gm ones.
Don’t lift the van. Will ruin the ride quality and probably break control arms and what not. Just enjoy it for years to come and congrats

Happy new van dave, the sales man has the best nonsense for the fog light. Its a bright red light for use in heavy fog in Europe, so you can be seen in heavy fog not for indicating that your exiting 😂😂

To open the rear door full swing, partially close it and pull on that black radius arms and latch it to the door. That will open all the way. Had the same thing on my last sprinter
On days old Van have someone check all the ground straps under the hood and on the body those are famous for breaking and causing issues.
Friend has a all Black Sprinter diesel with a Pole in it was funny being in 3rd grade in their E series sitting in back with a Pole in it
I think he needs the packout rack off the ground and then the ryno LED strobes special on the outside

If the old van has a vortech engine it's probably the intake gaskets!
The rear doors do open fully you have to close them a little then pull the place track and it opens fully they are spring loaded. No need remove them.
