This man saved my life. I was suicidal a month ago, I was in the deepest shithole of my life, but then I discovered David Goggins. I just took one of the most important exams in my life, and I know that I won. I've been honest to God, working and studying, getting up early everyday and grinding for DAYS to work on myself. I fucking did it. Stay hard.
"you never met a hater doing better than you" yep but get ready for the radio silence of your friends when you start achieving your goals. People love you when they think they are above you but as you ascend they get nervous about their own status. My grind is fueled by the silence. I went from just existing to excelling. Whoever said don't poke the bear was very wise.
Not gonna lie 2023 was an amazing year for me , pushed myself so hard and the gains i made were evident...but after i graduated in October i can feel i fell off, i lost my mountain. 😢 Im trying though to build another
I have to believe this is common. When I finally graduated from college- I really fell off. It seemed like I was empty. No purpose. Total opposite of what I thought I would be feeling. Just started my MBA journey two weeks ago- the challenge and feeling of doing something is back baby! Go find your next challenge!! You got this.
Don't trick yourself into thinking you have plenty of time later because you are young. A couple years can go by before you know it while you are building a life. Continue to make it a priority along with your other goals. I'm 47. I'm not in bad shape, but I get complacent. When I get complacent, I get fat. Every time I do, it gets harder and harder to put that old gym habit back into circulation.
I was doing hamstring curls at the end of my lower body workout today and overheard someone saying he can’t handle doing cardio on leg day. Since June 2023, I’ve been preparing for the OKC Memorial half marathon on a whim as a challenge to do with my woman. I’ve dabbled in cardio, but not really. Started running everyday slowly getting up to 25 miles per week, now trying to get up to 50. I’ve lost 15 lbs from 220 to 205. Strength is still good and in much better shape. I got a new watch that tracks my “training load”, and I came to realize that you can train a lot harder and more frequently that you think, even as a natural and in your 30s. Get to the gym and stop complaining, a$$hole. Stay hard. I can now casually run a 2:35 half marathon as a 205lb lifter. Do both. Being good at cardio makes you a better lifter too.
I have to Train Alone too. It is really Hard and it feels Like it doesn't end. Every Day I have to Fight myself. Nobody else is Here... We have to Stay f*cking Hard Till the End.

Same. Was in crazy good shape. Starting a new job made me fell off.
