YAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! CONGRATULATIONS ON 10K SUBSCRIBERS KENNY!!!!
Grr yup had a rebuilt. Did the fill it up crank fill it crank fill start , it made noise and did t stop until it failed a month later.
Got another. Bled it properly by lifting some weight off wheels and turning the wheels back and forth look for bubbles , yup here they come. I did that many times before no air came out. Ok start it and wow even the factory one wasn’t ever that quiet lol
Good to go .
Lesson about automotive bleed properly !
I’m a Cat mechanic and the oil at rebuild and cranking to fill proper before start is enough to bleed pumps .
I was always told to take the weight off the front wheels with a floor jack .
Thanks for sharing your video , if a part fails what happens with respect to warranty and labor cost .
Kenny the easiest thing to do is to get another cap and put an air fitting in it and use your vacuum pump to suck the air out of the reservoir I've done it many times it worked great
I think you should measure how far the pully is from the mounting brack not how far out the shaft is sticking. Nice video though
10 K Kenny right on .
i have filled pump and then used adapter and pulled vacuum off top of pump held for about 10 minutes refill and vacuum again and it will be good to go read that in directions i got with a pump and it worked no foam at all
Aftermarket pumps are junk but one big reason for premature pump failure is metal contamination from the first pump failure. I made a filter it’s just a remote mounted fuel filter for a boat that you use a regular spin on oil filter and it has fittings to hook up hoses I have a 3/8 hose on one side and the other is just the fitting so what I do is take the return line of the reservoir and attach to the fitting then the hose to the reservoir this is on the new pump before starting it up and after it’s hooked up I fill the pump and start engine this way no metal ever goes into the new pump.
nice!!!!!!
Brand new pump by GM and not even a lick of primer or paint. That to me is just a small little sign of the cost saving measures these guys going to. Do you think the internals have all quality seals, bearings, etc.. inside? I'd be willing to bet No! Great job Kenny!
no wonder the junk yards are busy ,there finding used parts that was USA made .
Could i use a shop vac to drain the steering pump?
Not a boomerang😄
I can’t get the line on the bottom of the pump back on to save my life.
Never the wrong tool if it works
Seems the re man stuff is really getting bad.
I have not bought reman in yrs I'll spend extra and not have to do the job twice.😊
the poor parts quality is a mass epidemic I bought a bosch fuel pump brand new and it was defective. It is what I thought was a decent brand until I saw Made in china stamped on it.
Sad that everything is made in China these days. Big mistake that needs corrected with American pride and quality as it once was.
PSC ain't made in china!
