Hi friends! I wanted to share how to use Seasonal Colour Palettes for everyday makeup in today's video! A few videos back, I shared a video about finding your personal/seasonal colour palette as a generalized overview of the four primary colour seasons and some common traits found in those colour groups. In this tutorial, I am creating a look using the Soft Summer seasonal colour palette, which is the one that best suites me and my colouring. I like this look on you a lot! The eye makeup is very soft yet it makes your eyes stand out more. The Etude palette does look like a softer version of Dior Cool Neutrals - very pretty! I also find your application tips very helpful (to make these colors appear even more natural and diffused on the skin)! Of course, I would love to see your takes on other seasons as well! 😀💕

The Etude Dusty Cat palette is quite similar to the Dior Backstage Cool Neutrals palette, but indeed it's more subdued and lacks the eye base, which I don't mind. I love this look!! So fresh and clean. Great office look too. I learned so much from this video. You are a great teacher. Like you, I also have oily skin and hooded eyelids. One of my problems is, there is a spot on my left cheek that does not take pigment. It's almost like the products just skip that spot. It is very weird, so when i have blush and brozer, there is a round patch that looks white lol
Hi Denisse! I am happy that you enjoyed this look! I adore this makeup style for every day, and it can quickly be intensified for a nighttime look. Having oily skin and hooded eyes can make things challenging, but thankfully with the vast array of products and application techniques, there is truly something out there for everyone! I relate to your struggle with a product not adhering; I have that happen on the bridge of my nose; but I've found allowing my skincare to fully dry and then follow with a gripping primer (I love the Tatcha Liquid Silk Canvas, NYX Angel Veil, and Milk Hydro Grip) and allow that to dry down for a few minutes things will adhere better. From my experience, I haven't found a rhyme or reason to why this happens, but it can be bothersome for sure! Very pretty. 😍 Of course I think we would all like to hear more about our own color season but I think it would be hard for you to do on your own skin not being that specific color season but maybe you could do it with photos of other people. I volunteer my photo. Lol 🥰 hell I even give you permission to use times I've done my makeup bad and went against my color season. I trust you would make fun lovingly. There are plenty of times I have tried a bright bold look that really just doesn't suit me but it's still fun. 💞

I was just thinking about how some colour seasons will look better than others, and I was taking my notes and how I need to find some images of people with the right colouring to use as good examples. Makeup looks that aren’t necessarily our perfect looks are still fun to play with for sure; I LOVE the gorgeous bright warmth of the spring colour palettes, but unfortunately, they are my least flattering colour matches. This was so interesting to watch! I have, without a shadow of doubt, realized I'm a soft summer and I'm bingeing all content related to this colour palette now haha. Glad I stumbled across your channel! It was a such a tragedy for me to learn that I can't gracefully pull off highly sparkly shades (since I'm an absolute glitter maniac), but I understand. I may love glitter like a nutjob but I certainly don't want to look the part lol. Still tragic tho... I swear I will make it work for me!

I remember when I discovered that I was a Soft Summer, it finally felt like colour made sense and when particular finishes with the make-up look better than others. Even though resources say Soft Summer is better suited for matte and satin finishes, I feel like glitters and shimmer can still work for us! I love creating a matte base for an eye look and then popping fun sparkle shades all over the lid or finishing the face with a shimmery blush! Do you have any shimmer shades that you adore?
