RECIPE:
Fenway Franks & LA Street Dogs (Serves 6)
8 Kayem brand hot dogs, or other beef frank brand
8 New England style buns
FOR THE LA DOG:
4 pieces thinly sliced bacon
½ onion, julienned
½ green bell pepper, sliced
HOMEMADE KETCHUP:
1 4 oz can tomato paste
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
¼ cup apple cider vinegar
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup water
HOMEMADE MAYO:
1 whole egg
1 ½ teaspoons dijon mustard
Juice of half a lemon
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup avocado oil
Spicy brown mustard for serving
DIRECTIONS:
To make ketchup, add all ingredients to a small pot. Bring to a boil. Turn off the heat and transfer to a container with a lid. Place in fridge. Will keep in the fridge for up to 10 days.
To make the mayo, add the yolk, dijon mustard, lemon and salt to a food processor. Turn the food processor on. Very slowly begin to stream in the oil. After a minute or two you’ll see the mayo begin to thicken. Continue pouring until all the oil is incorporated. Transfer to a separate dish with a lid and place in the fridge. Will keep in the fridge for up to a week.
To make the Fenway Franks, boil the franks then grill before serving. Place in buns and top with your toppings of choice.
To make the Fenway meets LA dogs, wrap each boiled dog with a thin piece of bacon. Place on a griddle or in a pan and cook until the bacon is crisp. In a separate pan, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and the onions and bell peppers. Cook until soft, about 5 minutes. Place the bacon wrapped hot dogs in a bun. Top with cooked peppers and onions, mayo and mustard.

About Christy Carlson Romano:
Christy has been a working actress and singer since she was 6 years old. She moved to Los Angeles with her mother when she was 14 to star in the Disney Channel franchise, Even Stevens. Christy enjoyed many years with Disney gaining an Emmy nomination for her voice work as Kim Possible and starring on Broadway in Beauty and the Beast. She went on to balance her college career at Barnard College, Columbia University with filming movies for ABC Family including: ‘Campus Confidential’, ‘Taking Five’, ‘The Cutting Edge 2: Going for the Gold’, and ‘The Cutting Edge 3: Chasing the Dream’. Christy returned to Broadway in her mid twenties and learned to puppeteer in the Tony-Award winning ‘Avenue Q’. Christy was married to her husband on New Years Eve , 2013 in Banff, Canada after having met in a screenwriting class in college. She became impassioned with directing and made her debut in Lionsgate’s “Christmas All Over Again”. While she still works as an actress, she enjoys living in Orange County with her husband, Brendan Rooney, and daughters, Isabella and Sophia.

Please tell me you didn't say "Is egg a vegetable". As for hot dogs, I prefer both mustard and ketchup or a coney dog. At the park it is mustard only. I unfortunately am a Tigers fan which this year is like supporting a deflated balloon.

Love these videos so much!! I would also love to see Danielle Panabaker on this show! Sky High, Stuck in the Suburbs, Read It and Weep etc were such a huge part of my childhood 😍 She has been doing some awesome things on The Flash, even directing it! She was just recently in a Hallmark Christmas movie so you could do Christmas cookies or if you're feeling really adventurous you could do the pizza with seaweed toppings from Read it and Weep 😆❤ so many possibilities lol Can't wait to see what's next!

While I never saw _The Sandlot_ , I did have a little crush on him in _Son-in-Law_ . 😂 While everyone else was drooling over Pauly and his "cheek chillers", aka chaps with no pants, thus a naked tush, I was crushing on "Zack". 🤷🏻♀️ 😂 I remember it was a few weeks before my 11th birthday, going to the movies, and thinking he was so sweet, even with his _Playboys_ stash. It became my go-to summer movie for '93. While there were a lot of great ones that year, _Jurassic Park_ , _Last Action Hero_ which I still have my Burger King cup 🤓, _Sleepless in Seattle_ , _Super Mario Bros_ , I rented _Son-in-Law_ the most out of all of those, and he was the reason.♥️
Ham from Sandlot!! My all time favorite childhood movie, ever and I thank my dad for introducing the movie to my sis and I when I was about 6 years old. My sis and I also had major crushes on Benny the jet Rodriguez (who didn't though lol) and would rent the movie so much that for Christmas my parents bought my us the movie on VHS (oh the 90s) but my sister screamed and cried and we have the hilarious pictures of her reaction lol.
