How much of a grit jump? Do we need to go through all the grit?

Sharpening with a grit jump..only 2 stone..starting with 320grit shapton pro and ending with 2500 grit silicon carbide from gritomatic..toothy from the 320 with combination a pleasing edge finish from the 2500grit..simple and no fuss sharpening..try it out..you can experiment with other thing (140grit diamond and 3000 grit naniwa , 325grit diamond and 5k naniwa ) there a lot of combinations to try..with that you can establish what is the combo that you are rooting for..let me know in the comments
