A note to Michelle Capps. Dear sweet lady I know you are in a really bad spot right now but just trust in the Lord and let him lead you on. I have been widowed twice and believe me everything will be all right. We all support you and pray for you.
Fantastic song, but I have to confess, my favourite version is by Elvis, It's more dramatic, and no doubt Elvis meant it, He went through misery with his health problems in the 70's, before his untimely death. Kudos to Larry Gatlin as the writer.
WHY CAN'T LARRY SING THIS SONG THE WAY THEY WROTE IT? IF HE'S GOING TO SING "FOR HELP", LET THEM CHANGE THE TITLE TO THAT! NOT "HELP ME"! ANYBODY ELSE FEEL THE SAME WAY?
Yes, I’d go along with that. I also wish Larry would sing it more in the style that he originally sang it. Now he sings with such exaggerated vibrato, I feel that takes something away from the sincerity of the message. I used to love listening to the Gatlins, and I still enjoy the harmony with Rudy and Steve, but I just can’t take the drama in Larry’s voice in recent years. Sorry if that offends anyone.
@bonnierohr9544 I feel the same way you do. I don't know if it's just me, but Larry seems to be full of drama in how he interacts publicly as well, any more. It may be just me.
@@elbertsorrell8394 It’s not just you! I agree about all the drama, and not just in the way he sings. He just seems so over-the-top. I know we’re all older now and we change over time. Maybe I’m just trying to hold on to the past when I wish he would sing like he used to. The harmony of the brothers was always so nice, and I’ve wondered why Rudy and Steve couldn’t be featured more. But I guess Larry was the “star.”
@@bonnierohr9544 I've enjoyed our interaction on this subject. I don't want to nitpick. But these kinds of things make me stop & say, "What happened to this guy?!" I liked Larry years ago & still do. But the drama & how he tries to draw attention to himself today just makes me shy away from him. It makes his performances less enjoyable & I sit them out.

So what's up with the two persons Larry mentions at the beginning - do they have a serious illness or something?
