3:55 Regarding Bricklink Designer Program, can you do an episode about this? What can MOC designers and LEGO fans learn from official LEGO designers? To delve into the topic of set instructions, does the set designer get involved in the instructions process, or is this typically done by someone else? It would be amazing to get some insights (or an episode) into how designers create LEGO-quality instructions.
I will say, I kinda agree with you regarding the Bricklink Designer sets. On one hand it is cool that some sets get a second chance to be available to the public, but having them in such limited quantities (that basically all sell out in the first few hours) really sucks for people who want them, but miss out. I just recently got the Winter Chalet from the third wave of the Designer Program, and while I was building it, I kept thinking about how Lego would have done things differently: the structural stability didn’t feel right, the steps in the instructions were sometimes a little janky/in a bad order, and some of the pieces would have definitely been in different colors/new molds if Lego was designing it. I am still glad I got it though, it will be a great addition to my winter village.
I don’t like how LEGO said they would end regionals because people couldn’t get it. But now we have this which most can’t get either because they live outside the countries available or they sell out quickly
These are quickly becoming my favorite weekly posts across the board. Also, I loved that you open with a question about the questions you get. Belated and future apologies for when I ask them myself. 😅
Love, Love, Love this edit! The creative lighting is also awesome! Your genuine content and production value elevates and separates you from all the other LEGO UA-camrs I subscribe to. Keep up the great work!
When working on MOCs or designing for LEGO, did you ever have periods when you just couldn't come up with anything (akin to writer's block)? If so, what were some ways that you would try to overcome the "builder's block"?
YEAH! I am always looking forward to a new Tuesday Talk, they make my day every time. :) I also noticed that many questions pop up again and again, so a recap-style video that condenses the designer questions could really be cool. It would also be a very good resource to point people towards that ask these questions. Like "here, check out this video!". Also: damn, you got a second camera angle now, the production value went up again. Keep up the great work! :D
Love your talks, thank you for sharing😊 I totally understand your plan to not answer the designer questions.. those of us who watch your every video have heard the same questions a lot😂. Thanks again for your videos!
I've discovered the best way to apply stickers on LEGO is to use the waxy portion of the sticker sheet to help with alignment and adjustment... actually, it's a tip I picked up from watching one of Tiago's livestream videos.
Agree about Boutique Hotel - absolutely stunning set; just had to build it as soon as I got it.. while the Police Station is still waiting in the box..
I have a question: while building Lego sets digitally do the designer use softwares like Studio 2.0 and Lego Digital Designer or softwares that are not public?
LEGO should make a Nintendo Cmf series here is what I would add; -Link -Zelda -Mario -Luigi -Peach -Ganon -Pit -Dark Pit -Inkling -Ryu -Ken -Captain Olimar - Captain Falcon - Samus -Wii Fit Trainer -Isabella Please note that there is no Pokémon since Mega Construx has the license and no sonic as it would be weird to add sonic characters if you won’t add sonic( cause he is exclusive to one set)
Tiago, what advice do you have for an up and coming LEGO UA-cam channels? What motivated you to start, and what are some tips to do better? Btw I love ur videos man keep up the great work!
Is there a theme or an IP that you wish Lego would make sets for? Or maybe an existing theme that you wish Lego would build on and improve? Thanks for answering my last question. I didn’t realize I wasn’t subscribed before so everyone watching make sure to subscribe!
I could see a Mario minifigure come in a rebooted Mario theme years from now, after the current one has retired. It also could come from a separate Mario movie theme.
I never bought a bricklink set, (some of them look quite nice), but it was a "natural" consequence of the "open view politics" of LEGO, adquiring Bricklink itself. Actually it´s a quite "democratic" program, and don´t forget that the these sets are pre-paid, so no loss for LEGO is secured.
For stickers I use the wrench from a speed champion if they’re smaller stickers, for larger ones I use winded so I can slide the sticker into the correct placement.
So, an update on my comment from last week regarding Bricklink designer sets…. Having heard your thoughts on the matter, AND after starting to build the BDP Winter Chalet set, I agree 100% with your view on it. The concept is cool, but you are so right about the quality. I’m on page 136 of the instructions and so far it has honestly been the most slow paced, boring, inefficient design I’ve ever built. I actually found myself getting annoyed with it! First time I’ve ever felt that way building anything out of LEGO. So, yeah, totally agree with you on the BDP sets!
I’d love a deep dive into good vs not-so-good instructions and build experiences. I would be interested in hearing what makes some good examples so good and how poorer ones could be improved. Thanks!
What advice do you have to become a master model builder in a Legoland or Legoland Discovery center? Do you need experience building big models to get the job?
I really enjoyed the self transforming Optimis Prime review. It was so cool seeing how much enthusiasm you had for it. Have you thought of doing more reviews related to your non-lego hobbies or interests?
I enjoy your studio set up and how you display your sets and have parts storage while keeping a more mimalist look. Do you have any tips for finding balance in keeping your collecting from becoming overwhelming in your space?
Hi , new subscriber, from the skills you had before your previous job, the ones you developed during and now those you have for UA-cam and such, which job would surprise us and you where your skills would not seem obvious but extremely useful? In you opinion?
Sorry to ask this cos I’m a Lego amateur fan.. What’s the difference between Lego Ideas sets vs Lego BrickLink fan designer sets? I tot they are the same.. that both went through the voting process and then Lego in-house designers refine them and then manufacture & produce the new sets in the market..
Q: would you do a youtube series on How-To design a 10$ lego set. I mean from start to finish: concept, ideas, design stages, revision - like design is done in TLG. I think this would be very interesting to see. What do you think about this? Or is this forbidden by LEGO? I think it would be great learning experience.
Lego has already been around for decades. Have you inherited some Lego sets from your parents or other older family members? Do you think that today's Lego sets will still be attractive when the next generation will have grown up?
I like your Tuesday Talks a lot! Would you ever consider working with another brick brand other than Lego if they let you design your dream MOCs and mass produce them?
Question for the next episode: As a LAN member, are you required to make a certain number of reviews for sets? And is it common for LAN members to ever feel pressure to put out set review videos as opposed to other more original LEGO content, such as MOC building series, tutorials, etc.?
What 4 themselves would you like to return the most? Has to be lord of the rings, knights and bionicle for me. Also, you e heard it all before but your videos are top notch, excellent quality and you have e great personality
Question: Hey Tiago, I would be interested in hearing what you think about 3D Printing and how it would fit into the future of LEGO manufacturing? Best Wishes from Ireland.
Hi Tiago! I’ve gotten back into Lego after 20 years, and I’m getting caught up to speed. Are there any resources or guides on how to make structurally sturdy builds? I only have access to Digital Designer programs, and it can be hard to tell without a physical model.
I have tons of Mocs built digitally, I am super interested in building them in real life but the cost is too high, any tips for making your builds cheaper?
I have some. I also build a lot of digital mocs and price optimization is a key part of making instructions :D I have three main pieces of advice: 1) Check your most expensive pieces and see if you can find cheaper substitutes. These are usually pieces that are old or are used in rare colors. You especially need to make sure to *not use* the old light grey, dark grey and brown colors. Use the new light bluish grey, dark bluish grey and reddish brown instead. 2) If you don't see certain pieces in a moc, the color basically doesn't matter. Change internal pieces to the most affordable colour option. 3) Sometimes, using different sized plates or bricks (like 1 2x4 instead of 2 2x2) can be cheaper. This is a bit advanced though, because you need to make sure that your build is still stable if you do this.
This is the BIGGEST non-Lego question. Noticed your helmet isn't setting in screen shot. What type of Bike do you ride? You come across an Indero rider.
I felt ashame to tell I love LEGO. But a lot people, do not know that there is LEGO for adults. The people around me think LEGO is, LEGO City and nothing else.
Olá Tiago, was there any idea suggested by you that was not accepted while at Lego? Or is there any set you would like to see that is not attached to an IP? Continuação de um bom trabalho :)
How did the Transformers video do? To be honest I was hesitant to watch it at first. But you have such a cool personality that I really enjoyed it. I think your personal feelings towards Transformers really helped to make it a great video.
Tiago! Why are you only posting short reviews of some sets on Instagram and not on here too? Would love to see them in one place. Also, have you ever thought of having a website/blogspot to archive all of your written-only and video reviews? and perhaps LEGO news? Anyways another great Tuesday talk! Keep up the hard work, my man!
Hi TIago! As allways awesome content and talks :). I don't have much of a question, but more of a "challenge". Why not doing smaller kid friendly videos (in PT) using the playable sets, like the Monkie kid or Friends sets. My kid loves watching your videos with me, but struggles to keep on due to the language part. See you around Lisbon!
Hi Tiago. I like your Channels and enjoy your honesty. I’m wondering if you can comment on the assumption that train enthusiasts feel they are being ignored by Lego.
I must agree with you completely about the Bricklink Designer Program sets. Awkward builds, parts unsecured for a lot of the build - just not up to Lego quality.
Thank you for replying to this comment in recent Tuesday talks. I'm sorry for using the word 'betrayed'. I've constantly told my young son that you are only reviewing Lego. Before opening your video we thought that Lego did this autotransforming Optimus Prime as I didn't pay enough attention to the Robosen mention in the headline. Please continue having fun with all your videos making us happier!

To delve into the topic of set instructions, does the set designer get involved in the instructions process, or is this typically done by someone else? It would be amazing to get some insights (or an episode) into how designers create LEGO-quality instructions.
Set instructions are a different department, the designers send a 3D model to a separate department.
Another great episode, enjoy every minute!
Thanks, and keep it up!
I will say, I kinda agree with you regarding the Bricklink Designer sets. These sets are designed without any new pieces. So if you miss a wave you can still get the sets by picking bricks from bricklink or Lego.
I don’t like how LEGO said they would end regionals because people couldn’t get it. But now we have this which most can’t get either because they live outside the countries available or they sell out quickly
I thought Lego produce all sets to last at least a year - which one was rotated earlier? Not all get sold in all regions? What are examples?
These are quickly becoming my favorite weekly posts across the board.
Also, I loved that you open with a question about the questions you get. Belated and future apologies for when I ask them myself. 😅
Mine too!
But I felt a bit bad for all of the lego questions, that's why I asked. :D
Love, Love, Love this edit! The creative lighting is also awesome! Your genuine content and production value elevates and separates you from all the other LEGO UA-camrs I subscribe to. Keep up the great work!
Question : What do you think about set leaks and how do Lego deal with it ? Thanks for your videos and cool reviews !
As Always, thoroughly enjoyed the "Talks".
When working on MOCs or designing for LEGO, did you ever have periods when you just couldn't come up with anything (akin to writer's block)? If so, what were some ways that you would try to overcome the "builder's block"?
That bin you said was pointless... I challenge you to make a MOC from some of them!!
Nah, not talented enough with the bricks
The issue with the Bricklink program is the lack of paper instructions.
YEAH! I am always looking forward to a new Tuesday Talk, they make my day every time. :)
I also noticed that many questions pop up again and again, so a recap-style video that condenses the designer questions could really be cool.
It would also be a very good resource to point people towards that ask these questions. Like "here, check out this video!".
Also: damn, you got a second camera angle now, the production value went up again. Keep up the great work! :D
Clean Look vs. Classic Look: Do you prefer Lego sets with completely tiled surfaces or are you okay with sets that have studded surfaces?
Which building in Portugal would you like to see as an official Lego set?
I’m glad to see I’m not the only one with a “special” bin. So many useless pieces. 😂
Thanks Tiago! We appreciate you.
I'm enjoying watching all your tutorial views. It's fun doing them
Love your talks, thank you for sharing😊 I totally understand your plan to not answer the designer questions.. those of us who watch your every video have heard the same questions a lot😂. Thanks again for your videos!
I only have 1 brick link. I agree the structural integrity is sub par. Not impressed.
Did you like LEGO Chima when it was out around 2010?
I've discovered the best way to apply stickers on LEGO is to use the waxy portion of the sticker sheet to help with alignment and adjustment... actually, it's a tip I picked up from watching one of Tiago's livestream videos.
Agree about Boutique Hotel - absolutely stunning set; just had to build it as soon as I got it.. while the Police Station is still waiting in the box..
I definitely like this form of video. It's something a little different so I really look forward to these videos :)
I have a question: while building Lego sets digitally do the designer use softwares like Studio 2.0 and Lego Digital Designer or softwares that are not public?
This has been answered in a previous video: they use non-public software, in the past it apparently was Autodesk Maya with a special plugin.
Ohh, thank you!
What do you feel is an underused but legal design technique?
And what is the weirdest legal design technique?
Do you have a spreadsheet/catalog where you keep track of all the sets that you own?
There's a public brickset list. :)
What are your favorite and least favorite lego colors? Which retired lego colors would you like LEGO to bring back?
LEGO should make a Nintendo Cmf series here is what I would add;
-Link
-Zelda
-Mario
-Luigi
-Peach
-Ganon
-Pit
-Dark Pit
-Inkling
-Ryu
-Ken
-Captain Olimar
- Captain Falcon
- Samus
-Wii Fit Trainer
-Isabella
Please note that there is no Pokémon since Mega Construx has the license and no sonic as it would be weird to add sonic characters if you won’t add sonic( cause he is exclusive to one set)

Hi Tiago, love your TT. What is your goto classic lego set for building creatively?
I use an open safety-pin to apply stickers!
Is there a theme or an IP that you wish Lego would make sets for? Or maybe an existing theme that you wish Lego would build on and improve?
Thanks for answering my last question. I didn’t realize I wasn’t subscribed before so everyone watching make sure to subscribe!
What element would you like to see LEGO make, either a new one or bringing back an old element? I'd like a 1x2 inverted tile 😐
I could see a Mario minifigure come in a rebooted Mario theme years from now, after the current one has retired. It also could come from a separate Mario movie theme.

What do you store in your LEGO/IKEA boxes behind you?😆
Thank you Tiago for answering my question, here's another one.
What's your take on LEGO trains?
For stickers I use the wrench from a speed champion if they’re smaller stickers, for larger ones I use winded so I can slide the sticker into the correct placement.

Hey love your video
Question: tips of the profile you must send in to lego when applying for a job by team
TTT: From all the Lego Minecraft sets you have built, which one is your favorite and why?
I think the winter chalet is really and very well built as a bricklink designer set.
What advice do you have to become a master model builder in a Legoland or Legoland Discovery center? Do you need experience building big models to get the job?
Have you introduced your kids to Lego yet? If so, what has been their reaction?
What is your favorite thing to build out of LEGO?
Do you have any other building related hobbies, besides Lego? Model kits, Meccano, etc?
Wait this is another channel? I thought it was the main channel
Question: what’s the best way to get vintage Lego(and not get scammed) if any?
"ppffft of course I got a play button"
Do you have a Lego budget, or how do you prioritise which sets to buy and build?
Love the videos.
I really enjoyed the self transforming Optimis Prime review. It was so cool seeing how much enthusiasm you had for it. Have you thought of doing more reviews related to your non-lego hobbies or interests?

Do you think Lego should make battle pack type sets for classic themes? Castle, Space, Pirates, etc?
When an unreleased LEGO set image gets leaked do you try to avoid those images or do you not mind seeing them early?
Sorry to ask this cos I’m a Lego amateur fan..
What’s the difference between Lego Ideas sets vs Lego BrickLink fan designer sets?
I tot they are the same..
that both went through the voting process and then Lego in-house designers refine them and then manufacture & produce the new sets in the market..
Completely agree with you about the Bricklink products, can’t stand them and wouldn’t touch them!
What is your opinion on Lego in regards to plastic pollution/the environmental impact of Lego?
Q: would you do a youtube series on How-To design a 10$ lego set. I mean from start to finish: concept, ideas, design stages, revision - like design is done in TLG. I think this would be very interesting to see. What do you think about this? Or is this forbidden by LEGO? I think it would be great learning experience.
What hobbies do you enjoy outside of LEGO? Thank you! Much ❤ from the USA!
Those “bionicle” pieces shown are totally versatile, used em in plenty of ways.
Just got to get creative 😉
I actually own the Parisian restaurant too!
Hey Tiago! I look forward to your videos each week! Are you a fan of cars? What do you drive in real life?
Question for the next episode: As a LAN member, are you required to make a certain number of reviews for sets? And is it common for LAN members to ever feel pressure to put out set review videos as opposed to other more original LEGO content, such as MOC building series, tutorials, etc.?
For the stickers, I use my mother. But now that I am a grown-up, it is more difficult to get the tool 😊😊😊
Super Mario CMF series? I would buy that :)
Question: If you could pick any franchise to be brought to life in Lego, what would it be?
Hello Tiago! Our family loves visiting the Legoland parks and Legoland Discovery Centers.
Have you ever taken your family to one?
What 4 themselves would you like to return the most? Has to be lord of the rings, knights and bionicle for me. Also, you e heard it all before but your videos are top notch, excellent quality and you have e great personality
Question: Hey Tiago, I would be interested in hearing what you think about 3D Printing and how it would fit into the future of LEGO manufacturing? Best Wishes from Ireland.
I use the back of the sticker sheet with the sticker on it's corner lightly.
That being said: I hate stickers and everything about them.
Hi Tiago! I’ve gotten back into Lego after 20 years, and I’m getting caught up to speed.

Electric scooter, sorry to disappoint!
For the stickers use a toothpick..
Will you do any other non-lego toy reviews? The Optimus Prime review was pretty cool.
I felt ashame to tell I love LEGO. But a lot people, do not know that there is LEGO for adults. The people around me think LEGO is, LEGO City and nothing else.
Only the central perk set is worth it imo for the non lego designed sets
Olá Tiago, was there any idea suggested by you that was not accepted while at Lego? Or is there any set you would like to see that is not attached to an IP? Continuação de um bom trabalho :)
Lots! That's part of the job
How did the Transformers video do? To be honest I was hesitant to watch it at first. But you have such a cool personality that I really enjoyed it. I think your personal feelings towards Transformers really helped to make it a great video.

Thoughts on Lego friends?
It seems like Lego can create anything. Is there known shapes that lego can't do well or now a day you can simply do anything in Lego?
Do you follow "Leaker" of the lego community (like Promobricks ecc)? What do you think about leaks and does that interest you?
Hey Tiago, you are a stylish gentleman; what wristwatch do you wear?
What do you think of Lego Harry potter ?
Hey Tiago are you still having fun making these vids? Its not showing as much lately :)
I wonder...
You betrayed us with this transformer video!
Thank you for replying to this comment in recent Tuesday talks. I'm sorry for using the word 'betrayed'. I've constantly told my young son that you are only reviewing Lego. Hi Tiago, do you plan on having an interview with Jangbricks ? It would be an amazing duo discussion session.
Pointless! Tiago is very open and honest, why does he need interviewing?
@@richardcope3850 No not an interview, simply a discussion session to see what these two legends would talk about.
do you like lego idease?
So. True man each to thay own thorts in what U like or don't like in Lego 😊. The do U get Anny negative reply s from people ..that could be a good t shirt. Design lol😊 ..
