    I own a Why Cycle R+ as well. I got it with the SRAM Red drivetrain, which I love. I think it is a very smooth riding bike. It compares well to the ride of my steel Surly CrossCheck, which I love, but the R+ is a lot lighter. I have taken the R+ on a number of gravel rides with some pretty steep downhills and it feels very stable. I added the XPLR dropper post you mention and have gotten a lot of use out of it. It helps with stability on gravel downhills more than I was expecting, plus I like the idea of always essentially carrying a spare battery for the drivetrain. For road use I got a second set of wheels, going for a set of i9.35’s. They are a little smaller width than the standard RW23’s that came with it, so the i9’s fit a road tire better I think. I ride a pretty ‘fat’ road tire at 32mm, but that’s a good deal smaller than my 44mm gravel tires. I figure there’s no sense pushing extra lugs down a paved road. And I agree about the fork. In fact, I was just looking today on Revel’s website and under the FAQ about mounting lugged forks for the R+ it still says check back soon! It’s said that for the past year and a half that I’ve had the bike. Nice setup you have too - I like all the pink highlights. All my highlights are anodized orange so far.

      Thank you so much for replying! Sounds like you have a great setup there!! I run the .35 on my road bike and love them!! They were easy to set up tubeless as well. Super strong and ridged, and engage so quick! I need to get that dropper!! I could use it on some of our 10-12 mile descents in Pisgah… but agree, this bike is super stable. Thanks again for the awesome comment!!

      I have never ridden carbon, but I own 3 titanium bikes and love them so much, carbon isn’t really an option (except for a full suspension MTB).Congrats on that custom gravel bike! Sounds like a dream!!

    I also own the Why R+ and absolutely love it after 12 months and 4800 miles. I run the same RH tires as you and will never ride anything smaller than a 48 tire. I agree with your fork assessment with no side mounts for bags. I hope to do more bikepacking in 2024.
    Thanks for your review of this great Ti frame and groupset.

      Thanks for checking it out!! Its a great bike for sure. I would like to set this up for bikepacking. Just got back from my first trip but used a steel frame Salsa El Mariachi, and was it slow :) Cheers!

    Nice little video. I love my mine. Got it for an amazing price right before the merger. I can attest she is very good on the road with better rolling tires But she begs to be pushed off road. Mine is still the stock grx build (which is perfect) at the moment but lookin to upgrade a few parts here soon. Hard not to take advantage of all the great pricing on things right now..I’m thinking wheels.

      Thanks. It does love to be in the dirt for sure! And wheels are always the perfect upgrade! What wheel set you thinking about?

    My new gravel, not shown on my channel yet. It is being built with the new ENVE gravel dropper post, and yes it’s Ti.

      @T1EAdventures  7 місяців тому

      Its not light by any means, coming in at 21.6 pounds / 9.8kg. That is with the Route Werks bag mount, GPS mount, and 2 water bottle cages.

      @@T1EAdventures †hat is very light,,,, my carbon topstone is a little less 24 lbs.. it might be the wheels... thanks for the info. 😎

      I was shooting for sub 20lbs, but I think my tires are not helping with it being 48c wide :) Also my saddle isn't the lightest one out there either.
