SOUTHERN PEACH COBBLER IN A CAST IRON | QUICK & EASY RECIPE

Peach Cobbler is a beginner’s cook life hack. Measurements don’t have to be perfect, it just has to be balanced. Looks for the most part are predictable and a little change may vary but everyone still enjoys this dessert.
This Old Fashion recipe is easy and uses fresh peaches however you can use canned or even frozen peaches. A simple crunchy batter that comes together in minutes, the cast iron skillet creates a crispy, buttery crust and gooey, caramelized peaches. It’s easy to make the ultimate comfort food dessert and perfect for summer.

Ingredients
2 lbs fresh peaches peeled, cored , chopped
1 stick plant based butter
1 cup cane sugar
1 cup brown sugar
I tbsp vanilla extract
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/4 cup secret ingredient
Cornstarch slurry 5 tbsp water mixed with a tbsp cornstarch
Crust
2 cups self rising flour
1 cup vanilla plant milk
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 cup cane sugar
1 stick melted butter
Cinnamon sugar for dusting
