The only problem here is "Dünya" is Arabic origin. actual Turkish word is "Yeryüzü" (Face of the Ground), which can be much more funny if you think about it....

Earth uses the meaning of land, as in an island or the continents, not earth as in dirt, also what are the words for dirt and Earth in Turkish?

In current-day Turkish, we use Dünya, an Arabic-originated word that just means this planet. In old Turkic, and sometimes current-day Turkish, there is "Yer" (Ground/Land/Location) and "Yer Yüzü" (literal translation is "Face/Surface of Land"), and that is only used for the planet itself. Come to think of it, both Turkish and English, in origin, had a similar idea but went differently.
Dirt is "Toprak". We also use this word for land but in a more nationalistic way.
Also a small note: Space as in beyond the atmosphere is "Uzay", which has the same root as "Uzak" (Far).

It is like ch, like in China, Chai, Channel, Chamber etc..
We also have "Ş" that does sound like sh like in She, Shower etc, and "Ğ", which is a different kind of beast... That sounds something in between a really soft R and continuation of the previous vowel.
