Hi Cole and Charisma I have a Question. I watch also Zack his Channel and I wondered why Zack has a leg bag for when he has to pee and you don't have it. Did you have had it too in the past???? And is that because of your operation with the botox??

As someone in the medical space, specifically sports medicine world, this video is SO important. More people need to be educated on the differences, we can all be doing better to understand each other :) you guys did an awesome job of organizing the information and explaining it clearly with those examples!

As a software engineer I can tell you there is a lot that can be done for people with physical disability. Something as simple as a robotic hand that your actual hand can be attached to. Something to support your spine area that won't hurt you, etc.

My mom has been a complete paraplegic for 25 years now. She has no core whatsoever. Makes me happy to see videos like these because normal people don't know the daily struggle that these people go through. My mom seems happy to outsiders. But I see the pain, depression, anxiety, and different medications that she goes through. It's easy to say not to dwell on the issue and to look on the bright side. But in reality, no matter what, there's plenty of days that that person will fall into depression out of nowhere. But as long as the person can pull themselves out of it they will continue living their best life. My mom has raised four adult females all alone. And I think that makes her superwoman! Love this video 😘💋

I love how you broke this down, and made the information so easy to understand. Unfortunately, I did not know that there was so much that went into the diagnoses of quadriplegia and paraplegia. With that being said, I’ve also never felt so entitled to tell another human being that they were wrong when I am not a trained professional AND never walked a day in the individual’s shoes. I am so sorry that you have to deal with the dark side of social media. Please continue to make more videos, because you are truly making a positive impact when it comes to increasing awareness on SCI, and the beauty of a healthy loving relationship. I love you both, and I pray for nothing but God’s absolute best for your lives!!!

So glad I found this channel recently. I have Spina Bifida (but I have use of my legs) and I love to see that, even though you may have a spinal cord injury, you are still able to get on with your daily lives as if nothing really happened with not a lot of change. I was so lucky that my spinal cord injury was not as severe as others with spina bifida, although I still have some problems regarding organ function such as bowel and bladder/kidneys. Love the channel, keep up the great work!

I tend to multi task; both physically and mentally. When said you were a quadriplegic, I filed it away in my brain as “data received”. I’ve never noticed the comments telling you you were a paraplegic.

Thanks for explaining. I have spine arthritis, herniated disc, 2 back surgeries, SS and severe right foraminal stenosis. I have to use a rollator. I also have peripheral neuropathy which affects my balance. Also 2-level ACDF C4-5/5-6 with plate and screws. I use to be a medical transcriptionist and I had to give up my job that I loved so well after 34 years. It is hard to depend on others as they truly do not understand how hard it is to get around and do things you would like to do on your own but we need help. You two amaze me and Cole you are so lucky to have a strong person by your side like Charisma and your family and her family. You two make it work seemingly easy but I know it is not. Keep up the good public relations and stay strong.

Im an incomplete quadriplegic. It's hard for people to really understand this. My level is C2-C5, all those vertebrae where shattered so they used bone from my hips to make a new neck. Now 3 plates 11 screws later, I'm doing better, I'm able to walk with balance issues but I'm able to walk again. You remind me of my younger self. I know what you have gone thrive is hard, been there too died 6 times. But seeing your will to fight in this video, don't stop your therapy. Don't stop working out everyday. Every time you want to give up, you make yourself keep going regardless if you want to or not, you must push yourself. Don't give up, it's been 21 years since my accident. Never give up and watch at what can happen. Keep your mind the strongest! Good to meet you guys by the way. Take care....

Very informative video! most people associate quadriplegia with complete loss of function in both upper and lower body, but as you have clarified, it all depends on the degree and level of injury. Sadly In many developing countries (where I come from), many people with acquired disabilities especially those related to spinal cord injury are not exposed to the same kind of extensive rehabilitation programs because of lack of sophisticated/modern equipment such as the ones you have, resulting to rapid deterioration of their conditions (to put it mildly). Thank you for always showing us what is possible with intervention and I wish you both the very best!

When I do have a client one day who, for example, happens to be a Quadriplegic, I can now properly interpret not only their injury and amount of function, but also to understand what they may be overcoming/working with in their day-to-day lives. You are both two very intelligent individuals. I'm glad that you both did your research surrounding the differences in the diagnoses. Too many people on the internet, UA-cam, Facebook, etc... tend to put everyone into the same category. This was extremely informative. Thank you!

Thank you so much for this video! I am an occupational therapy student, learning about SCI, and the functional examples really helped me! Y'all are an adorable couple with great chemistry, as well. Hope to find a connection like that myself one day (:

Really good video Cole & Charisma! Thank you! I really liked the fact that you illustrated your examples with footage of people. Thanks to your video I learned that tetraplegia and quadraplegia were the same thing!
