I like the nicely simple & direct feel to this... of course, for that true authentic 1960’s production feel, Warren should be wearing a white lab coat. I wonder if there were discussions/arguments at Abbey Road back then, with folks wanting to use ‘vintage’ mics from the 1920/30s (for that classic 5k to 300hz vibe). Personally, I’ve never 'tried' not to be clever either... not being so just comes naturally.
MOSRITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!👍 BTW - My first guitar (bought by my parents for me in 1969) was the same Sears/Danelectro as on the wall (at 3:57). It came with the small amplifier and speaker built into the guitar case. 🤘
Wow, the WA19 sounds incredible - such a refreshing change from the usual options! I really like it. And the Gretsch... what a beautiful guitar. Thank you so much for the video, Warren.
Great job on the song, sounds excellent. I watched a video on da Y00t00b where a guy had a couple of the original D19's and did a straight compare of those to the WA19s on different sources. The WA19s definitely sound different than originals he has, but they still cool very useable mics for multiple sources. I'm gonna get a couple at some point. Thanks Warren!
