The shocker hitch is incredible. It saved us last year on a 4500 mile trip. We got into some rain and it almost ditched us. We added two sway friction brakes on the hitch an it helped keep us straight. The ride was so smooth too. No more white knuckles.

My set up is a 3/4 tons Superduty truck with a 10000 Lbs Airstream trailer, I use an equalizer weight distribution, what type of Shocker Air bumper should I get and also, can I tow without that weight distribution that is slowly destrowing my front trailer?

That screw at the top of the hitch needs to be shorter. My new Airstream is getting scraped and damaged by it when I unhitch it because the hitch hits it when I raise it off the ball.

I woould like to see a downsize version for a Nissan Frontier and Toyota Tacoma. Towing is only around 6k-8k and these things are huge looking for the smaller trucks. Wouldn't need a 12k one.

Are there downsides to using the 20k hitch? I have a 7700 pound Airstream and the tongue weight is around 1150 pounds.

There is no downside to using the 20K hitch on a lights trailer!
