- Sub 50 by a mile! Took a bit of grinding to get here but I made it. This record will likely stand for quite a while, I couldn't be more happy with it.

As an outerwilds speedrun outsider, when i first saw the title I thought "49 minitues? That's seems a little long." Then I realized it was 100 percent.
That interloper sliding is so clean and satisfying

Genuinely remarkable! So many tricks/aspects of the route that I struggle to imagine myself being able to pull off even *once*, let alone cleanly and consistently, in sequence with all the rest of this run! Truly impressive! ^^

How stable has the routing been as this category has progressed? This route looks super clean but figuring out the optimal route seems like a tough problem. Also, this route is kinda hilarious in that it starts with a very advanced maneuver (shipless hotshot Sun Station entry) and ends with the tutorial (Zero G Cave) ;)
Although, as I think about it for a moment, it makes sense to start the run with the hardest tech, so... maybe never mind. :)

I'd be curious about the prospect of a 100% "Deathless" category, where you do a bunch of stuff before activating the loop.
Considering the sequence-based elements of the run (the Interloper and Chert for instance), would that even theoretically be possible?
Edit: No, I think, because if you fly the ship before getting the launch codes it creates issues with the mask activation.
Never watched the 100% run for shipless, impressed that boosting with the scout launcher pushes you enough to get a lot of air even in a place like giant's deep.
Hmmm, can you really count the run "shipless" if you used the Nomai shuttle?

This is very impressive, I've never seen people moving so precisely for so long in this game. Can I ask - why do you need to spend the extra time at 18:50 going to the Vessel, if you're going to finish the game later as well?
Also, is that a visual glitch at 29:24? It seems as if you're seeing through the terrain, like the world hasn't fully loaded.
I have several more questions but I won't ask them all at once, this is interesting though. And I love how the best route uses the eject button
You need to put the broken fragment in to get a ship log. I think doing this before you have the working core for some reason- it has to do with the games progression triggers.
The terrain is not see through, I can’t tell exactly but I think it is just the fog interacting weird with the high speed movement.
@@concernedcommenter8258you need to do it before you take the core from ATP because you can't put the core down in the ship or anywhere with 0g (like the entirety of Dark Bramble), so you can't pick up the broken core and put it in
if that's the way you approach solanum they should give her an extra stone that just says "how the hell did you manage that?"

If I recall correctly, you have to have died twice to "unlock" the ability to sleep at campfires.

@@concernedcommenter8258 there is an infinite oxygen glitch, so at least majority of the game might be possible I think.
The only troublesome spots I think are the tower on Giant's Deep, sun station and the caves of ember twin, which might actually be completely impossible.
Hm, does infinite oxygen also cover the underwater sections?
Ig there's actually quite a lot of the game that's hardly accessible without the suit, huh..
