Mirroring isn't nearly as useful or productive as advertised. Every time you use it, you have to unlock your phone (there's no option to disable that), and that's after a significant pause after you click Connect on the Mac. Then, maybe you'll get in or more than likely it'll say the phone is in use. So, with all that delay and messing about, you might as well just use the phone instead of when it finally gets mirrored to the Mac.
Can Apple please build a hub with the peer to peer connection - that way I can keep using my external drives when I move my ipad from laptop mode to tablet mode
The performance is terrible on my M1 Pro 16" and 15 Plus. Even simply swiping pages takes several seconds. I do love getting the phone notifications on the Mac, and that is nearly instantaneous.
Good morning, Having an iPhone mirroring issue ever since launch in beta 3. Both my phone 15 pro max and MacBook Air m2 are on beta 4. and I only get the outline of my phone on my Mac. Very frustrating. Any suggestions on getting this to work?
He mentioned a lot of tips n tricks however failed to mention if that iphone screen can be resized or more importantly can it be moved to the tope right or bottom right or top left or bottom right?
It can be resized via View menu. Wish he would have demoed the 3 sizes and dragged around like you said. I have 2 widgets on right side and hope a small phone mirror will fit under the widgets leaving rest of screen for Safari.
pointless app...want to get rid of the whole app and cant..and because I cant every time my Mac goes to screen saver I have to enter the f....g password option to disable is greyed out cos this iPhone mirroring app on sequoia......grrrrrrr
Wondering how the FaceID integration will work, or if that is even planned? Thanks for the video So far my testing shows this to be a very useable and helpful feature... i'm often picking up my phone to check things that would be much simpler to do via mirroring
If the iOS remote debugging will get more stable this can make the development on a physical iPhone really convenient, looking forward to stable release!
Please show the 3 different sizes. I want to mirror in small size so I can use Roku app without taking a lot of screen real estate. Unfortunately Roku doesn’t have a native remote for MacOS.
M1 Mac Mini and iPhone SE running iOS 18 beta. Keeps saying "try again"... Here's an addendum to that...I just found out that you need to have Passcode Enabled, some of us who are the only user don't. Seems to work fine once thats done.

How about pinch to Zoom? There doesn't seem to be a key combo for that and I can't figure it out with my mouse!

Hmm. Not anything specific. You can do the usual restarts and resets or hold off til the next beta. Make sure you file a radar with Apple!

I think you forgot to add you can change the view as small , actual size or large. which helps you to view your iPhone in any size you wish.

Ahh yes. You need a passcode and 2-factor turned on. For sure the security.
And make sure your bluetooth and wifi are both on, got similar issue ealier .

yes, it is a separate app and acts like one. It's not baked into the OS like the Continuity features you mention.
