Roman Reigns is the only heel in WWE to be World Champion for more than 1000 Days. And the First Wrestler to be World Champion for 1000 Days in Moder Era.
Congratulations on 300, James! Roman's story arc from "Sufferin' Succotash" through the Tribal Chief is nothing short of remarkable; when he comes back (likely at MITB.....maybe), he will get the pop Vince tried to force (NEVER thought we'd hear "We Want Roman" chants and they will get louder) and it will be amazing.
Great video on recapping Roman Reigns career. I was one of the few fans that I defended Roman Reigns shitty babyface run and etc I actually wanted him to turn heel around 2015 and 2017 before his great Tribal Chief run. I think Roman turning heel after WrestleMania 33 could have worked.
What a difference 3 years makes. Who would've thought we'd be in a time where the crowd would be chanting, 'we want Roman.' Just goes to show when you book someone right, even the crappiest of chicken crap can become the tastiest of chicken soup. On another note, if Nia Jax and/or Naomi joined the Bloodline, they would be great additions. On another nother note, congrats on 300 videos, here's to 300 more, and just as Roman has etched his name as one of the all time greats, you have etched your name as one of the all time great wrestling reviewers.
How about one that isn't talked about much since it was a territory a long time ago? Your home state's territory, Big Time Wrestling? Of course that would require a lot of research and whatnot.
@@ManiaxOnYTZeus That would probably be too much of a niche episode to do on its own; would be better under a big umbrella episode covering the territories in general
Great video ill never forget the heat roman got around 2015 and so on but it was mostly the fans rebelling against the wwe for not giving them Daniel bryan at that rumble where they crapped on literally everything i feel roman didnt deserve that. But eventually we did get him as heel roman reigns which was the best thing in the wwe
I remember the next night on SmackDown after Jericho defeated Roman for the US Championship they altered the footage of the fans celebrating to them being "disappointed"
I always thought Roman was booked better when the Tribal Chief gimmick began. The WWE should have learned that if it's not broken don't fix it, meaning trying to book Reigns as a copy of Super Cena. I'm happy they finally got their heads together and turned everything around for the better. We acknowledge you, Roman. As far as what's next for Roman, we'll never know.
The biggest mistake made during the 2015 Rumble was Danielson in the Rumble match as a suprise. If he doesn't show up, then we don't look back at the 2015 Rumble with such negativity. Danielson could've shown up on Raw after the Rumble and challenged Roman for Fastlane. He did that anyway, but he didn't need to be in the Rumble.
This comment is post WM 40. I really hope Roman comes back as H.O.T.T. The Bloodline isn't a wrestling faction. It's a living legacy. A dynasty of dna. I hope they ride that wave for a long time.
To be honest James, even if Roman was pushed too hard and too soon, I will always truly believe that Roman was mostly booed because the IWC was mad because Daniel Bryan didn’t win the Rumble. A lot of his hate was pretty petty IMO.
THANK YOU!!! Like I said, booking was bad for Roman, but I do sometimes think the fans are so petty, that even if somebody was booked right, they’ll still boo because it’s not THEIR kind of guy. Know what I mean?
When I think franchise player/face of the franchise I think the ones who were considered the face of the company(Bruno, Hogan, Austin, etc.) Taker was never that; he was in a different category all together ala Andre The Giant
Questions 1. How would have the tribal chief would have been in the attitude era. 2. How would they have pushed him the right way the first time 3. During his big dog era what was your favorite and least favorite matches.
Three questions for you. 1. Which feud would you rather see: Austin vs Roman or rock vs Roman ? 2. Do you think Roman could have fit in the attitude era? 3. Do you think Cena should have gone? He given how great Roman has been?
Great video.... though I think it's arguable if Roman is the most successful of that family... Maybe not at this stage... I think in terms of wrestling, The Rock is still the biggest star and more successful.. maybe when Roman's career is finished, that may change.n
Roman winning the WWE Championship in Philly and getting cheered IMO had more to do with nobody taking Sheamus seriously as the top heel in the company especially at the time where there was little to none top heels
@@WeAreProWrestling what a Smackdown man! They are really doing great stuff and that's the way you put someone over...Zilla is next maybe not anytime soon but I watched his GCW matches and he's a BEAST #bloodline #romanisntcomingback

What if… The former Shield brothers get to face at WrestleMania 32 with Ambrose getting the win (Ambrose will be the Royal Rumble winner and Seth steals the WWE title away from Roman). Roman goes bonkers and assaults Ambrose, turning heel and the next night, he declares himself the Tribal Chief and puts everyone on notice, saying that he’ll do whatever it takes to become WWE Champion, even if it means beating them down beyond recognition and as for Ambrose, he’ll say that Ambrose stole his prize and when Ambrose went into business for himself and selfishly stabbed him in the back, it’s an instant death sentence and Roman will eradicate Ambrose once and for all, leading to a war between Ambrose and Reigns for the WWE title.
Unfortunately, James, to me, there was an issue with Roman's nearly 4-year run that still makes it a bit less impactful than what Hulk Hogan did from Jan. 23, 1984-Feb. 5, 1988...Roman, being a heel, would not have been able to move as much merch, in terms of items sold (not cash made), than what Hogan managed to pull off in his era. Too much money was left on the table by Roman being a long-run heel champion. That waters things down for Roman in my eye, and has me not celebrate that run of his like I would have for Hogan in the 80s and Austin in the Attitude Era. When Roman does come back, he has to return as a STRONG babyface Tribal Chief, who quickly takes Heyman back, and hopefully ends all Bloodline stories in WWE by no later than WrestleMania 42 in 2026. That's where that story should meet it's end, if it does go that far, provided that Joe Anoai's health stays stable (of which, obviously, there's no guarantees).
We're gonna get New Bloodline/OG Bloodline probably in Wargames Rock/Roman at 41 Roman/Solo at some point And when Roman returns he's gonna get a massive babyface ovation
I would accept Bruno Sammartino as the Franchise Player of WWE. Hogan could have been on the list only if he didn't went and let WCW to beat WWF for 83 Weeks. Austin was the Face for 5 Years. So, in my opinion Bruno, Johnny Cena are the Franchise Player.
Roman Reigns realistically breaks Hogan's First WWF/WWE World Championship Record as he held WWE World Title for 735 Days and WWE Universal Title for 1316 Days which is for 2051 Days. So both WWE Title and WWE Universal Title are Merged but both Title still been Continuing so Roman Reigns Title Reign is for 2051 Days. What are your thoughts?

If there was ever the chance to do it, do it at the point where he beat Taker at Wrestlemania

I would suggest doing a retrospective on another defunct wrestling promotion, but a LOT of them have been talked about to death already.
All the major ones have & even the obscure but notable ones have as well

We'll know sometime soon
Do you think starting the Tribal Chief/Bloodline angle in 2015 would have worked?
2017 it would have worked
After turning The Usos on Smackdown & after Roman beat Taker; would have been a time to run the 3 as a heel trio

Also, Would you consider Undertaker the Franchise Player of WWE:
- Being Loyal to WWE.
- Carried WWE for 30 Years.
- Was the Face of SmackDown Brand.
When I think franchise player/face of the franchise I think the ones who were considered the face of the company(Bruno, Hogan, Austin, etc.)
Taker was never that; he was in a different category all together ala Andre The Giant
Questions
1. How would have the tribal chief would have been in the attitude era.
2. How would they have pushed him the right way the first time
3. During his big dog era what was your favorite and least favorite matches.
Don't know; but Roman the talent would have worked well in the Attitude Era
During "The Big Dog" Era; his matches with AJ right after Wrestlemania 32
Tbh I didn't know that former AJPW gaijin Gary Albright was part of the bloodline until recently

Who has more Successful Career in Wrestling between Roman Reigns and Rock?
The Rock

Roman winning the WWE Championship in Philly and getting cheered IMO had more to do with nobody taking Sheamus seriously as the top heel in the company especially at the time where there was little to none top heels
Also giving Vince the Superman Punch helped
Why this Episode isn't Rise, Fall and Rise of Roman Reigns. His Shield Stable was Successful.
The Shield part was the Prologue to set up the subject of this episode, that being his singles run

I will admit Big Show/Roman had no right to be that good at Extreme Rules 2015 but considering what was on the card outside of Dean/Luke 🤷
Going back to re-watch that match, I forgot how good it was
When do you think Jacob makes his debut? I'm thinking Summerslam..also why the FUCK did they have Roman use contacts?!?
1. It'll be either before Summerslam or at Summerslam; it's gotta be soon
2. Don't know why

Didn't think it was gonna be as soon as the June 21st Smackdown; the same day I made that comment
