I'm surprised no one has mentioned that Arlene Francis also had a very successful radio career on WOR in New York. I grew up hearing her as my mother listened to her program every day on the kitchen radio!

I think it must've been some kind of his catchphrase, although I can't find any proof if that's true. Or maybe they really had met not so long ago then, and he had used it, therefore she immediately recognized him 😉

Arlene was a class act on one of the best shows on TV, of all time. Mark Goodson knew it and saved all the shows and Gary W, got ahold of them and restored them and organized them for UA-cam.I stole Martin's idea of her heart necklace and bought one for my wife for our 25th anniversary. My wife sometimes puts her solitaire diamond inside like Arlene did. Thanks for the video!
