I have mine. I love the AV-8B Harrier II. On this scale it looks very real due to its size. It is a good model, and adding even more details makes it a museum piece. Good review!
People who collect 1:18: "Oh if only someone would make 1:18 models of stuff, I could get what I really want and have it be decently accurate." Some people: "Oh, well, it doesn't have enough pieces to make it difficult and the bolts are scaled slightly too large. I'll pass until the NEXT, even better one comes out." Me: "WAHOO! True to scale GI Joe AV-8B Harrier! First one hasn't even arrived through the mail, but I'm thinking I should just get that second one on the way. Look out, Cobra!"
The Hobbyboss 1/18 UH-1B Huey is much worse for rivets and panel lines. This one I think (and hope) can be salvaged. I say hope as I have one on order. I see quite a bit of careful sanding is in my future.
Not impressed at all. The rivets and panel lines are way over scaled. Details like that on a 1/18 scale kit should have been very easy to replicate. It's typical of all of Hobbyboss 1/18 scale kits too, not just that particular kit.

Well! What can one say at the outset? Wow, of course.

I’d agree with that. The Huey looks terrible. Needs major mods.

It looks like they may have bought the molds from 21st century models who made these as preprinted models. It is disappointing.
it was originally a prepainted model you could buy. HB have adjusted the molds slightly but have the model to be less functional.
