  • The Colorado Avalanche had the 24th overall pick at the NHL Draft at The Sphere in Las Vegas, but traded the pick to the Utah Hockey Club for later picks. Avs GM Chris MacFarland met with the media to discuss why the team looked to trade the pick, an update on Jonathan Drouin's contract talks, and Nathan MacKinnon winning the Hart and Ted Lindsay trophies at the NHL Awards.

    I think a trade down was a good idea. We got a pick next year like he said. Who knows maybe we get a borderline 1st rd pick at 38. Go Avs Go!
