I honestly would've preferred this, it obviously isn't scary but it makes the movie feel so real, like it isn't a horror movie but just a rough time for two guys, one who's suffering from being lonely and another who's suffering from the strange behavior that stems from the first man's issues. All the creepiness fizzles out and the constant, overbearing dread that has been building up just fades instead of coming to a crescendo with Aaron's murder.
The is an amazing 1988 movie called the vanishing. In which a sociopath kidnaps the protagonist's fiance. He gets away with it. 3 years later the protagonist is still looking for his wife everyone is telling him to give up. When one day the sociopath offers the protagonist to take him to his wife under one condition that he will be captured as well. So the entire second half is them trying to work out a deal, they go through every scenario possible and the ending is magnificent. I'd love if the ending was something like that, he comes out clean to Aaron instead of Sara.
Actually the first ending is scarier to me than the one we got. Aaron just being lured to get cozy with Josef again, Josef getting his trust again, and then cut to black because the rest is implied. The second one… Josef had second thoughts right at the very ending? But yeah, I really like the first ending. One last twist you wouldn’t expect.
First one meant we wouldnt have gotten a sequel at all right? And second one didnt make sense the original one they rolled with was actually better than second one.
Second one is open to interpretation, I think. Either (1) he's trying to scare the crap out of Aaron by getting him to turn around and see the Peachfuzz mask and raised axe or (2) he wants Aaron to turn around so he can kill him face to face.
@klemmteastwood Yeah,. I know lol,. I've found all the filming locations,. But there's no exact location given for the cabin. I've watched that movie at least 40 times and used Google Maps trying to pinpoint the direction Aaron was going to visit Joseph,. But if you pause each spot that was filmed on the way to the cabin and look it up on Google Maps he drives in to town One Direction showing the "Crestline sign" the lake would be on the left side of him, but you don't see it in the movie,. But then he ends up driving past the lake and it's on his right side, you can see the water slide.. Then you see the town,. Then the next shot if you look to the right there's a building and it's a library, you can line that shot up with Google Images by the building/ trees/ fence and some signs.. but that same spot on the left side that you can't see is the lake again with the water slide,. Same spot,. So they literally made it look like he was driving a continuous straight path but in all reality he drove down the road and drove back down the same road. Then he's at the cabin in the next shot... how did he get there? I think I said all that right 😅🤣
The first ending feels so melancholically beautiful without the context of the movie
that's so fascinating, version 1 would mean he wasn't a murderer at all, just a weird lonely sad guy
Not necessarily true he could just be trying to bait him for longer until he trusts him lol
Didn't he rape his sister tho?
@@williamelenothought it was his wife
@@eclxpse3813 Well he said his wife's name is Angela and then when calling his wife, Aaron finds out Angela is the name of his sister.
@@williamelenoi’m pretty sure it’s just one of his lies, trying to scare Aaron

Alt ending 1: cute
Alt ending 2: also cute
Peachfuzz 🤑
the first one is literally a romcom ending
Idiot
Whats that mean
@@aramis2634 a romcom is a romantic comedy film. the first one feels like a pretty sweet ending and can be interpreted as the two ending up together
@@Ahmed-gv2yo oh thanks
Honestly I kinda wish this one was the true ending

I so desperately want an extended version of the song that plays in ending 1. It's so beautiful.
Both songs are by Eric Andrew Kuhn, first one is called Begin Adventure, the second one Revolution
Thanks I just watched this movie and heard about the alt endings
You're doing God's work, Marty Gibson.

Alternative ending 2:???? ending ,':/
Technically 2 is also a good ending. Instead of swinging the axe, he taps Aaron on the shoulder to get him to turn around.
@@lovelightstarboy or maybe he wanted to hit him with the axe while making eye contact?

does anybody have a version that isnt skipping?
I may reupload these without the skipping. it’s just what I had from my old janky laptop

I really wished they would have went for the first ending it would have brought a nicer end to the movie
I prefer him being a psychopath rather than a lonely guy with borderline personality disorder.
Then no one would be talking about this film.
Then it wouldn’t be horror

@@couldnotstop1092just remembered this comment 11 months later! Thanks so much!
Name of the song? 2:20
I’d actually like both movies on DVD or Blu-ray but have never found them.
They're releasing a Blu-ray in December! It was announced today
Wait are these official??
