- Hello guys and welcome to today’s episode from the channel. Today we are going to discuss Scream 7 once again, with some minor updates that have been released about the movie and also a discussion as to what we know will likely be brought up in the movie. So I’m going to be giving you some theories of my own.

On one hand, I agree that Spyglass are dicks for what they've done with their treatment of Neve and Melissa, but on the other it's a universally loved franchise that most want to see continue. There's still more to be told with Sidney's storyline (it's always been about her).
No way does Ghostface want her to live out her fairy tale ending.
Full respect for how you dealt with the divide between the fan base.

I want Gale to return and to be really reckoning with her life choices and losing Dewey. I think if she gets that kind of introspection and closure, I would even be okay with her dying heroically in the next one the way Dewey did.

I actually don't agree with them killing Dewey at all it was ridiculous and I would be livid if they killed gale after all she's been through
I honestly believe they are going with the “ghostface cult” one on this.
They could pull this off a number of ways. Even the Stu theory could end up in there.
But for this one I think it’s going to take some big work for Williamson. He’s amazing, no doubt. However this project is being rushed and I hope he pushes back at the studio trying to make huge demands and or changes last minute.

Well with Kevin as director, this is his perfect opportunity to bring his original idea for scream 3 and put it into action in scream 7 (given that it could mirror scream 3 just as the last two movies mirrored the original first two movies, it would make so much sense for kevin to bring that concept into this movie). And with there being a cult, stu could come back as the leader (jill can also come back, even, since that was an original idea as well). I wish they still couldve done this with melissa and jenna back. But even if they dont come back, there can still be a chance that this movie can turn out very good. Who knows
I'm up for the cult, I don't want Stu back, though. I love his character, but it's been way too long, and I can't see how they'd bring him back and make it believable.

Scream 6 was such a huge missed opportunity re: killers and motives.
I’m so glad nev is coming back. I’ve wanted this from day one. I’m all in.
Any TRUE Scream fan is just happy they're making another movie, and with Sidney back no less. I have been a fan of these movies since the first one came out, I was 12 and I'm now 37. I'm not going to let some political BS stand in the way of continuing to love these movies. It comes down to this, if Neve Campbell and Kevin Williamson are cool with returning, then who the hell are we to say what they're doing is wrong.
Same, I saw it when I was 13, and now I'm 38, Scream was my first proper horror movie, so I'm always excited for anything Scream related.
Not exactly my theory of the plot, but I have an interesting storyline I'd like to share... bear with me! Kincaid is Ghostface in 7. He was Roman's partner in Scream 3 which is why he turned up at Milton's mansion at the end of 3- as Sidney noticed- without his partner. In the position as the cop, he had a form of exemption from the suspect list, he confessed he knew the studios inside out, and he DID borrow Dewey's phone before Sidney got her call Also, both Scream 1 and 2 had cops in the suspect list, perhaps they'd thought that by the third film, nobody would suspect the cop anymore and use it as a twist. Now, somewhere towards the final act, I reckon there was a power struggle between Roman and Kincaid, perhaps when Roman is "arrested" it was their chance to regroup. Kincaid turned up alone at the mansion to silently deal with Roman and take the lead against Sidney, but unintentionally found the trio and had to think fast. Shortly after Sidney confronts him and asks where his partner is, Ghostface reappears and goes to town on Kincaid which resulted in the fight between them, we thought Sidney was Ghostface's target in that moment, but perhaps not? If she was, why not wound Kincaid and go for Sidney? Why persist with injuring Kincaid??
So, with Kincaid too injured to fight further, Roman won the bust up and we got the ending from 3 that was released. Perhaps the filmmakers avoided having the cop as the killer because the film has a theme of trauma, repeated targeting, even women's crisis helplines, and having a cop turn out to be the bad guy would have dissolved the little trust such victims already had in the authorities. But forget that for now, that's filmmaking, not story arc, but an interesting thought, right?
So, Kincaid pretends to be good, but Roman gets the better of him again and Kincaid is rendered useless by Roman just after he shoots Sidney. Anyway, Kincaid realises he was never even considered to be the killer in an official capacity so he decides to play the long game with Sidney. He dates her, marries her, has kids with her, all as a way of really embedding himself in her life to later make his move, but has to wait longer than planned because of the events of Scream 4, 5 and 6. But maybe he gets fed up, decides to act a year or 2 after 6 depending when 7 is set. Maybe he sees dollar signs with Sid's celeb status and sees a big pay day for when he kills her?
His motive, well... I don't have that quite figured out, maybe he's the REAL overall mastermind that coerced Roman into persuading Billy to begin his spree. Maybe Roman wasn't who he believed he was? Maybe Maureen didn't have another kid, maybe Maureen played along when Roman met her because SHE was having an affair with Kincaid?! Maybe Kincaid warned Maureen that Roman knew her from her old movie days and was a crazy fan? It's even possible that Kincaid was around the studios a lot when he was younger, he says he grew up there, and met Maureen when she was acting was acting, he is clearly older than Sidney, he could have only been 16/17 when he met Maureen? Maybe he appeared older? Maybe there was a scandal, on top of Maureen's troubling experience in Hollywood? There's multiple possibilities there. Kincaid's motive could ultimately be that he loved Maureen, and that his life fell apart when Maureen met Neil and gave birth to Sidney, so he got Billy to kill Maureen, then kill Sidney, and Roman was his "find someone to frame in case you get caught" guy, but he took it further and implanted the backstory in Roman's head. So, Kincaid eventually after MANY years of waiting targets Sidney because he feels she destroyed his happiness.
I know the whole Kincaid and Maureen thing is a bit of a stretch, but think about it... We know Patrick Dempsey would have been 34 when Scream 3 came out in 2000, but that doesn't mean that we know how old Kincaid is, only that there is an age gap between him and Sidney, because she's early 20's in Scream 3, and Kincaid has got to be pushing 40, maybe just over because he's climbed the police ranks, which means 28 years earlier when Maureen was acting, if he'd been 16 around 1972 he'd be 43/44 in 2000 when Scream 3 is set. Plausible, some fellas generally look older than they are!
The split story could be Sid's oldest kid in college across the country, Sidney said in Scream 5 "I thought I'd get a run in before I take the girls to school" which could have meant 2 kids aged maybe 15 and 13 in 2022, or even 15 year old twins, which means by 2025 (if 7 is set in 2025) that her eldest daughter(s) would be 18, and just starting uni. Maybe her daughter(s) are sick of Ghostface in her life and doesn't take it seriously, doesn't contact her mum because her mum's done a Laurie Strode and spent her life telling her what dangers are out there. Then the stories collide, and it's all "Daaaaaddy's homeeeee!" and basically, kaboom! Obvs he'll have an accomplice, maybe an illegitimate son or something.
But yeah, what do we think???
Got some depth. Please don't compare Sidney to Laurie tho. Sidney is best horror girl *cough* woman. This has me sorta wishing Nightmare would've gone the route of Scream and we would've got a few more with Nancy.

I definitely want to see Sidney’s home life and maybe some of her friends. Mark and Kirby for sure. I want chase sequences like the original trilogy had. I want Gale to have written the book about Dewey and didn’t write about the New York spree. This film needs to have high stakes 😅
I agree, we haven’t actually seen Sidney have a life and friends since Scream 2. Would love to see ppl she’s actually friends with targeted. Like a PTA meeting massacre lol
@@DannyPop2013 yea I agree and Kirby finally needs to get some on screen action with Ghostface. Sure she’s had a couple phone calls with the killer and she gets stabbed in the finale of 6 but her and Ghostface were never actually on screen together

Christina Carpenter, Leslie (Stu’s sister), Billy’s father, Martha Meeks, Class Reunion of 95 need to all come back and explain a lot of the gaps and bring in Stu’s twin brother 😆 Casey Becker’s sister Macy, Steve Forest’s family should all come back
Sydney & Gale need to be back to kick a**, they work well together, they need to have them make it out alive, I really think they need to end this once and for all, I love the Scream movies but they need to end, have it so that there is a mastermind behind all of this, I still think Roman was NOT working alone, there was someone else in 3 that got away.

The end of Scream 5 and beginning of 6 give hints that the cult exists so would be cool to see them play a big part in the next one!

I wonder if there is one Ghostface who goes after the new cast members in one location and then the other hunts down Sidney, Kincaid and Gale elsewhere, far away from where the other incident is taking place but still part of one big plan, and these new killers don't want to bring them all together at the same place like previous Ghostfaces did because that would increase the heroes' chances of winning if that makes sense, and they won't make the same mistake so yeah. As I have said before, I know a few people don't like the idea, I just can't help but wonder though if Stu Macher will eventually come back and be the "final boss" Ghostface in this new chapter with Sidney, maybe within the next couple of movies, because I think the possibility of his return increased when Neve and Kevin Williamson were announced to be coming back so yeah.

I can see it focusing on Sidneys family like niece and nephew and their friend group OR Stu Macher had a daughter and she has no clue about her father at all and then eventually will find out when her and her friends start getting attacked

While this is great news and much of a suprise as i thought scream 7 was dead & buried, its disapointing to see guy busick & James Vanderbilt as writers as i thought there efforts for both 5 & 6 were very poor.
Kevin Williamson was only the executive producer of Scream (2022), and that, purely nominally, for a tick.
He had very little influence on the fifth and sixth movies.

In my opinion, this will be a promising scenario. We're going to announce the death of the Carpenter sisters. Sidney will attend the funeral with the others. Everyone is back in Woodsboro. Then, they will meet the sisters' mother. Afterwards, they will all be attacked one by one, as it starts all over again. This time, they all go there, except Sidney, Kirby and Gale. To finally know the happy ending. It's highly likely that the culprit is Stu's mother, and possibly sister. This could be an interesting option to end the Scream saga in style. This is just my point of view. For my part, it's not that stupid. The killer also attacks Sidney's children's babysitter. There are a lot of ideas to bring to life. So we'll see. I'm crossing my fingers and can't wait to see the film.

I want there to be a docuseries (not initiated by Gale) on a streaming service which initiates a following of multiple ghostfaces so no one knows who the real mastermind is. Kind of like a cult. So Sidney and Gale have to work extra hard to find the leader of the hivemind

Gale and Mark are for sure returning. Mark and Kirby are the detectives. There’s some mention about a new cast but it’s too similar to Scre4m. There’s obviously a new cast but not teens and they’re not really a future ensemble, more expendable characters. It’s going to be more Scr3am vibes. Core 4 are mentioned but not prominent or appearing whatsoever. Kirby, if a contract finalizes, might have to actually die this time. It’s going to be less campy I believe. Cliffhanger

Nothing will ever beat the first 2 movies from 1996 and 1997, they are as close to perfect as you can get.

@@nu-metalfan2654The disappointing thing about 5 and 6 is that they had the potential to be great, but they gave us a lacklustre final girl, and predictable rehashes of 1 and 2. The opening of 6 is probably my favourite after 1 and 2, but then the movie takes a nose dive because the stakes are so low. I still think they are ok, fun movies though.

Kill joy Jake brought up an interesting point: what if 7 takes place during 6 so the core four can still exist in this universe but just not be there because they're dealing with the events of 6. I think that is an excellent route to go with it.

my theory on how Scream 7 could be made: the opening scene will be in New York and everyone will die except Sam and Danny who were on a romantic date, the killers will be two and they will be Leslie Macher (Stu's sister) and Stu who didn't die, Leslie Macher after Scream 5 broke Stu out of prison and they're in Scream 6, Leslie is the Ghostface who stabs Mind in the subway and Stu is the Ghostface of Gale's chase. After the opening scene, Sam and Danny decide to return to live in Woodsboro and the safe characters will be Sidney, her husband Mark, Gale and Kirby and then other new characters, and at the end of the movie only Sidney and Kirby will remain. towards the end of the film the two assassins could corrupt Sam into killing Sidney and Kirby but she will be killed, then it could be discovered that Kirby is Stu and Leslie's younger sister and Reed is just a fake surname.

I agree, I was annoyed at how Neve was treated before 6 and disappointed that Sid wouldn't be in the movie, but I still went to see it.

I think… they will close the Melissa/Jenna chapter (as like a spin off similar to Friday the 13th) ✌️Start fresh years later. Sidney’s kids are teenagers in high school. First scene is Sydney at home like Casey Becker, Steve would be Kincaid, just Sydney doesn’t die but Kincaid does tying it back to the original.
Stu is back. Yes he’s a ghost face. His son is in Sidney’s kids friend group but, of course, don’t know.
Could be a third..but I think taking it back to the original, and passing it down to a new generation would be awesome to see. They just would have to really pick the right cast. Like a copycat and that’s how we tie in Stu and his kid.
Melissa Barrera is a Princess. Neve is a Queen. All hail the queen.
Give us a time skip fast forward so Sidney kids are graduating high school. And if this is a start of a new trilogy great. What i would do is have one of her kids dig into Sidney past finding out about Woodsbrough killings.
Kevin Williamson did such a great job with Vampire daries i have high hopes for this new movie.
Honestly, if we can just get closure in some way to 5 and 6. Even if they were to end up being the killers..
Ι'm 50-50@ I disliked Sam being the lead in 5 but I loved her in 6 and since they decided to take this route, I wanted a full trilogy, a completed story. The other half of me wants to see Sidney's story.

Yeahy, it wouldn't be Scream without Gale.
I get the topic is sensitive, but it would be cool if they presented the apology to fans without words and instead with a cameo from Melissa Barrera. I think that could smooth a lot of things over and keep her alive in the universe. Plot wise, I don't know if it's too out there, but since we've revisited the Billy and Stu of it all, maybe it would be interesting to find an analog character of Roman or Jill through Sidney's children. What if one of the kids has a very dark reaction towards their mother's history. Or maybe do an exploitation element, where one of Sidney's children wants to star in the in Scream universe reboot of Stab. I could see Sidney being reluctant about that and maybe Gale absolutely loving it and begging for interviews. That's would be very meta in itself, we know that Janet Leigh from Psycho led to Jamie Lee Curtis becoming a scream queen.
I’m down to another trilogy with Neve as the lead as long as story moves away from the original, the cult idea could be interesting if they do it over the 3 movies, with the 3rd one revealing the cult leader been someone from her past. Also Sidney as a mother would be a nice twist as how she react to things now and if they plan to do more movies in the future her kids can take the lead role.
Very divided. On one hand, Im happy to see Neve back. Sidney is one of my favorite characters of all time and it's nice to see her on screen.
On the other, there's the Melissa sitution which it's really unfair and also storywise... What else can they do with Sidney? Specially when doing new multiple movies with her. Also with Gale, what else? Her arc properly evolved with 5 and was completely destroyed in 6. I've also read that, the original plan for 7, was exactly that: the movie divided in two, with Sidney and Mark and the other part with Sam and Tara which, if it was the final movie, could've worked so well.
Luv to see if jill is part of it remeber she was ahot near heart not head she could stilll be apart of it sp refise to believe shes dead , could be cult etham could be part of it aand any other shocks or surprises this is the good thing about this franchisee the unexpected is the unexpected 😂

So is this just another movie in a line of movies, like they need to write out the core four, or are they scrapping everything from 5 and 6 to avoid having to write them off and if so do we get Dewey back? I heard SCREA/VII is gonna be split into two parts.
“Beyond” excited that Sidney will return (she’s my favorite final girl EVER) and Neve is so cool. 🤙🏼.. but Spyglass messed up pretty bad, they caused the division with fans. I would’ve loved to see them all return and finish up with 2 stories parallel to each other involving Sam and Sidney.. some favorites would have to die, some live, etc.. glad Neve is basically picking up the pieces but hoping for a closure on Sam’s story as well at some point. I loved all the characters. Strictly my opinion though! Great great video!

There won't be any more trilogy or movies after Scream 7. They are definitely going to finish up the franchise in this last film. They are gonna finish up the Scream franchise with Scream 7

At first, I wanted 7 conclude both the original story and the Core Four's one. I wanted 7 to end the franchise and start something fresh under a new name. I can see a new series of movies focusing on the killers and be called Ghostface instead of Scream. But now, idk what to think frl
As long as the Scream movies are profitable they will continue making them. At the end of the day it’s all about the studios making money.
Im divided. I think if you want a great finale melissa & neve need to be in the movie especially if ur going to bring Stu back. He cant be the shocking reveal as its too easy. Hes more of killer one we expect the 2nd kilker being the suprise twist it worked in part one whereas everyone knew billy was the killer but no one expected stu. Then in part 2. Mickey the freaky tarantino film student was easy. Billy's mom - NO ONE SAW COMING. part 4. You knew easily who the first killer was but you never suspected jill.
This is wat has to happen again. If stu is killer one, then a shocking killer 2 has to be. I feel melissa & tara with sidney play a part as the 2nd killer is their mom. Wat if their mom was Angelina in scream 3? (Whom was one of the killers and being suds classmate til they canned her scenes) and what if it was all a lie and stu really is sam's father?

I could name a few things that i would like to see in scream 7.
If they're still mirroring the original trilogy in a way, with scream 7 mirroring scream 3, then I'd really like for some things to make a comeback.
1. We need the scream 3 voice changer back.
2. The plot should focus around a docu-series cast and returning characters (similar to scream 3 with stab 3 cast and returning characters)
3. I hope kirby or gale have a supporting role similar to Lindsey Wallace in halloween ends where we dont necessarily see them in the final act or get attacked/killed off.
4. Im hoping this new killer(s) motive will be something different and not in spite of revenge or fame seeking. Perhaps they want to put an end to it all by taking matters into their own hands or they could just be fans of previous killers (ghostface or not) and look up to them as their role models or something.
5. Maybe the meta social commentary can be around real life serial killers and true crime. Id much rather see references to killers than horror movies again. (Enough of that Stab movie bs)
6. It could explore the idea of a cult of killers (relating to point #4) that idolizes serial killers (originally the plan for scream 3 but was scrapped) and we could probably revisit the shrine that we saw in vi.
7. They can finally introduce the first time we see a ghosface killer be killed early into the film by the victim or someone that saves them just in time (opening scene or in the middle of the movie) or they could be caught by police in the third act or maybe even get away with it by leaving us on a cliffhanger or if not, then just bring them back for the next movie (similar to fast and furious 6's ending where Jason Statham's character gave a phone call to dom stating he's about to find out who he implying he will be the next movie's villain just as Han's car is about to blow up)
Your point 1) voice changer back. YES! This would work so well with the loved ones voices of the dead! Dewey calling/taunting Gale! Tatum, Derek, calling Sydney. Or the voices of previous ghost faces calling as their real voices - Billy, Stu, Roman, Jill etc
Honestly just so unenthused by this film, but I wish the actors the best of luck, particularly Neve who is getting the pay she deserved and at the cost of Spyglass being embarassed anyway.
Plotwise, I feel the only way to properly do damage control is have this be a separate story going on near Sidney and her close friends DURING Scream 6 on the other side of the US

Your view of Sidney is all wrong. She's the Jason Voorhees/Michael Meyers of this franchise. She always comes back for one last scare. Her and Ghostface are the subversion of villain and victim tropes. The killer changes, Sidney comes back. Sidney "dies" so many times. In 1 it looks like Billy and Stu have all but killed her, but she turns it around on them. 2 it looks like she's been killed by Cotton but its a fake out, in 3 it looks like she's been killed by Roman, but bullet proof vest. 4, Jill, but surprise, she survived. 5, Richie stabs her and the moment is treated like a death blow, but she comes back fighting. It's kinda the same with Gale. They are unstoppable forces. We know they will survive, just like we know you can't kill Jason, or Freddy, or Michael. They always come back for the sequel. That's Scream.
I think its great Sydney is back. I do think they treated Melissa terribly. She is allowed to have a voice and speak what she believes. Like others said as well she wasnt being racist or radicalist. Its very unfair.
I think they need to wrap up the Stu storyline or bring him back as they teased it in scream 5. Also get some of the OG characters back :-) i am so glad Neves returning

I love that Neve is back , but still torn that Melissa and Jenna aren’t returning ( at least as of right now) . If the latter are indeed not returning I wouldn’t be surprised if Scream 7 would incorporate some type of time jump. In Scream 5 we learned Sydney is married with reasonably young kids ( she’s pushing a stroller in one scene and mentions having multiple kids) . If Scream 7 does a time jump , Sydney’s kids would be older and incorporated into the story line possibly as the “new cast” . I can’t picture Ghostface going after a bunch of 5 year olds but , if they are college aged , that would very much play into the separate from the legacy character story line ( by being away at college), but also be the reason why they’d still have a connection to the legacy characters. The new cast being Sydney’s children & friends would presumably start getting attacked by Ghostface, mainly due to being Sydney’s kids. Ultimately tying in with the legacy characters meeting up with the new characters . Sydney would totally be the momma bear type to swoop in and kick the new Ghostface’s ass. As for the new Ghostface (and this is just me thinking outloud as I type this) , I could totally see it being a true crime podcast obsessed college peer who learns through the podcast about Sydney’s children going to their college .

I DON'T WANT A REBOOT! Would like it to take place after Scream VI only not focussing on the Carpenters (for obvious reasons).
I just wanted the end of this franchise. I love Scream, but at this point it feels that they don't have anything else to talk about, only going back to the past and keeping the same characters at the focus. I know that Neve it's an importante face to the franchise, but do we need more Sidney? Her story can push the franchise foward or It's just a fan's inability to let the past go? She is important, but any universe or story keeps fresh with the same character always.
The cult story, Stu being the one in 5 killing Dewey, in 6 attacking Gale in 7 sending ghostfaces to kill some survivors simultaneously: Kirby, Mark with deepfake videocalls. I know it is very unlikely cause it will mirror the mastermind killer and opening kill of a survivor in scream 3 with fake voicecalls. If not Stu who else wants to kill Sidney at this point. What motive has not been explored?
