- Se5a built by Wolseley Motors. Issued in November 1918 to No 84 Squadron RAF France. In this machine, on 10th November, 84 Squadron Commander Major C E M Pickthorn MC, successfully destroyed a Fokker DVII in the vicinity of Chimay in Belgium.
The SE5a is powered by a 200hp Wolseley Viper.

To me aircraft such as the SE5a, Sopwith Pup and Triplane are exquisite icons - that are far, far, more beautiful than what zips noisily about the skies today!! 👍
