- This has to be one of my all time favorite songs and for some reason I had never thought to make a cover video of it until now. And in case you're wondering, I added the solo guitar line to the recording after the live take for the video but didn't take the time to edit in the video portion of that. Anyway, hope you enjoy this one!

I have to say I have heard many covers over the years and no matter how good some people are, they still don't quite sound like the original artist. That is not the case here and many other songs that Ryan sings. What I cant figure out is why he hasn't been signed yet. This is a gift many people only dream about.......

The reason i love this song so much is because of the chorus,"I won't tell her nameee...".It is basically the story of my life.Had a crush on this girl for such a long time(really long),people would know each other's crushes back then,but i nvr shared her name to anyone because she meant so deeply to me that i did not want anyone knowing.She was like a treasure to me a secret that i kept.

I have been trying to learn this song in non-Goo tuning. You nailed it. Thanks for the lesson :) The simple lead you added was brilliant. It captured the essence of the song without trying to duplicate whatever Johnny is doing. I have never tried to play solos note for note so I really appreciate you added something personal in there.

Hey Ryan, after listening to this cover, I began listening to your music. You've written some great uplifting music, and you are very talented with a great voice. It's nice in these days of evil, downgrading, negative music that you've brought positive music through your music. I play similar music but have not posted anything as I've just retired from a 30 year career with DEA fighting the illicit drug trade. Now I have more time and will pursue music once more. Thanks for the inspiration. I love music but due to my first line of work I have not had time to pursue it like I'd like to. Hopefully I'll be posting some things soon once I get an opportunity to get the right recording equipment. I played bass in a rock band in my 20's, disbanded and embarked on college life from 26-32, married in 89 and started with DEA the same year. Divorced 13 years later and pretty much became disillusioned and quit playing after playing at clubs/restaurants thru college. Music always had my heart so now I'm back into it. Thanks again for the inspiration you've provided. I really enjoyed your covers as well as your originals. Take care and I wish you,continued,success and happiness my new,friend. Rob Johnson

I'm using the Canon Sx1. The audio is recorded/mixed in Pro Tools and then I use garageband to sync the audio and video.
