This song really makes me think of my dissociation. I see things in third person, especially my child hood. My memories are also like photos and videos, only the good moments are captured in pretty and artistic ways, when in reality the world is more than a picture on a screen. My childhood was traumatic, but all I see are pretty pictures that aren’t mine. Can anyone relate?
This song reminds me of my dissociation, everything feels like I am constantly in memory. Everything feels unreal, and old pictures don't even look real. They look fabricated.
Photograph, lookin' down at me I'm lookin' at the past Something about my family in high contrast Something about my infancy in white and black Something about my memories In a photograph, a portrait of the past Born in a flash Polaroid, 1954 It was a Polaroid '55 through '56 Were undestroyed, daddy was an anarchist We can't afford Somebody catching wind of this here Polaroid, a portrait of before Born in a flash Born in a flash A little piece of the past Born in a flash Ohh Ohhhh, Aahhhh, Ohhh Photograph, a portrait of the past Born in a flash Born in a flash Born in a flash Born in a flash

i love this song so much cause its just so easy to imagine a whole story in your head by listening to it, now excuse me while i listen to it on repeat for days
again, this is one of the best song ever, if this group were done this in the 80' or 90' the world would being kissing their feet, they are kings out of time, a strange precious stone.
ITS LIKE REALLY MASTERPIECE i feel it like something more than just a song, idea and all song is just wonderful😭😭😭😭 especially this moment s 2:31 - 2:45 And this chorus I adore it😭😭😭💔
This song reminds me of all my dissociation that I have. It's like looking back and everything feels so.. foreign. These memories are mine but.. what happened? Who am I? Of course as someone with OSDD yeah, dissociation is a huge thing with us.
I’m not sure, but to me it sound a lot like someone looking back on a very traumatising childhood, one that their brain repressed for the most part; making it feel like they didn’t really exist outside of photographs of them as a child- without the photos they would feel like they didn’t really exist. For me I relate this a lot to personal trauma involving certain photos that were taken of me as a child, but I’m unsure if the main singer went through trauma that was similar to mine so I couldn’t claim that as part of my theory on this song.
I absolutely love their discography and how many different instruments they use. I notice something new everytime I listen
It's so colorful
Facts they snapped with adlivs

All my memories are in third person. Sometimes when I think of memories I view them as a black and white video.
As someone who suffers with depersonilzation, YES
Sometimes I see certain memories in third person, but how? They should be recorded in first person, right?
@@mehp_ that's how I feel too

their best song, yet criminally underrated :(
I love this song so much, I wish more people will hear it. And it paints a vivid picture with a great story.... so underrated
It's weird, it's the first time I hear the song, yet I'm singing to it without knowing the melody......It's beautiful
ikr
the part at 1:59 is soul crushing
I’m glad someone else thinks so too
IKKKKKKKK
YES AAAAAHHHH
2:14 i cant this better be played at my funeral or i aint coming
Why this band hasn't been featured in Life Is Strange, I have no idea
Max was a hipster little shit that liked indie folk more and the game had a folk-ish vibe either tho
Kobra Kid lol true, but for another character it'd definitely fit. Chloe, maybe? Rachel? If not the original, then in Before the Storm for sure.
@@moonflame1170 They for sure deserve the publicity. At least LiS and BtS used Daughter's music though. She's pretty cool too.
they could've used this song when the teacher was taking pictures 😳

This song birthed me

Waw ! It's a beautiful single ! *-*
This is the best song I've never heard before.
Is it just me or at the end I can hear aspiring fires!
I think it might fade into it. Some albums do that
That ending knocked me hard.
Eyy, nice to see a fellow OFF fan around!
Does anyone know the meaning behind this song?

Amazing
This reminds me of the 1940s, specifically the war and bucky barnes
This song reminds me of when I got heat stroke and saw my body on the pavement like a photo.
Just a dark thot. U w U
