If you're interested in Chinese makeup, I recommend buying off Chic Decent or YesStyle! The former is specifically just Chinese brands, and the latter is mostly Korean but also has Japanese and is slowly but steadily adding Chinese brands as well. There are a lot of really really good brands and products, at really really good prices! Of course, arguably the 'best' way to get Chinese makeup is directly from Taobao, but in my opinion, it's more trouble than it's worth, as if you live in the west you'll want to use a shopping agent, so even if you speak Chinese it's just a bit inconvenient. Some brands I recommend (either through personal usage or things I've seen recommended by trustworthy content creators) are: FLORTTE (you got their popular heartbeat jelly lipstick, iirc it had a viral moment on tiktok idk i'm not on there but yes it's a very good product, I recommend the Nice To Meet Chu collection #07 刚刚好 (thats the shade name), I think I've seen it translated as 'just right') Flower Knows (You had one of their products but they have so so many-- they're a little bit expensive comparatively but 110% worth it for the packaging and quality of product. A good amount of reviews for them are up on the english side of youtube, so it's easy to research their currently available stuff) Judydoll (A few of their products have gone a bit viral on tiktok iirc, their 3d curling eyelash iron because of it's unique shape, slim liquid eyeliner because of it's precision, watery lip gloss because of it's unique applicator, and starlight highlighting powder because... it's just a good product) CUTE RUMOR (again, adorable packaging but a bit expensive-- still, by western standards, $20 for a lip tint is really nothing to balk at) Joocyee (haven't used them myself, don't actually know that much about them but I've seen them recommended) GOGO TALES (next on my list to try out, haven't seen that much about them but they look good and I'll update this comment once I have more info probably maybe) Hopefully this helps! Common culprits are actually the fragrances they use in the products. So that chocolate smell is actually not a good sign. Once you get sensitized to fragrance, you cant use ANY lip products with fragrance
