The apps are not the issue. How the user uses them is the issue.
A simple hammer can give you a rush if you smash something.
That does not mean the hammer is wrong if someone uses it to smash everything they own in an attempt to get a high.
Let's be real, a certain political demographic has spent the majority of their adult life trying to change the world through apps.
Only for them to figure out after they are much to old, that reality is alot different than the isolated social circles they have occupied.
This explains all the grown children with no moral compass who have taken to rioting and intimidating behavior in order to explress their political views, rather than acting like adults and trying to change things in a productive way.
Children throwing tantrums in the streets because their digital bullying, gaslighting, and blatent manipulation tactics have failed.
Well now they are failing in the real world and they do not like it. Hence the onset of depression and anxiety.
Try living your life with an open mind and open heart.
Try living your own way while accepting other peoples way of life.
Want others to be free and happy, and you will find freedom and happiness in your own life.

@Zero One Exactly man. Following the horrible stuff in the world sort of makes you feel a responsibility for it; to keep following the stories, and to feel responsible like you could help but you're not doing it. You're right our brains aren't capable of handling it all without crashing or causing pointless extra stress. Ig I don't wanna go out of my area where I kinda know what i'm talking about, but its almost like our brains were not meant to care about things on a scale this big. Idk it's really weird.

I was literally laying out in my yard last night on a hammock with beautiful weather after an incredibly stressful week with a sick toddler and terrible weather, just staring up at the sky, embracing the silence, without my phone, listening to the wind, taking deep peaceful breaths. The feeling of relief and weightlessness and gratitude that came over me was amazing. I resonate with this amazing lifestyle practice you are constantly encouraging your views to embrace so much. I have never before in my life loved unplugging more than I do now, nor have I ever loved the beauty and simplicity of nature, wether it be the Ocean, or the mountains, or the outside woods sounds, more than I do now. I unplugged from social media a few years ago when its poison and toxicity came to a massive head in 2020.. funny how in an entire world being influenced to panic and be afraid of each other, I had peace, and funny how we had some of the best family/friend experiences of our lives then. The only damper was that the majority of the rest of the world had given up on not just living their own lives, but the Joy of life. All because of what people on the other side of a screen are telling them to think and how to live. Living like this in combination with knowing the creator of it all, God, is the greatest thing a human can experience.

The beginning of this video reminded me of a terrifying moment I had the other day while showering. I was calm, my mind was empty and it felt as though not a single thought, positive or negative, was floating in it. Then all of a sudden these random events started swirling in my head and I felt like I was about to snap and lose control of my brain. It's like I was thinking of everything at once and my head was going to pop. The Will Smith incident even passed by for some reason 😆. All these random thoughts just kept zoning in and out of my mental and wouldn't stop. I even thought of outer space and the planets including Earth. Everything started feeling foreign and like nothing made sense. Even my surroundings (which was my shower and the stuff inside it like soap bars and bottles of shampoo at the moment) started feeling like they were fake and didn't make sense. This feeling eventually passed but it lasted a good 3 or 4 minutes. I already fear losing my mind daily so that doesn't help and I've also been super isolated. My point is I think this video perfectly encapsulates someone's mind being over stimulated in today's world and goes perfectly with it's title

I watched this schizophrenic dude give a interview a few years back (I mean this guy had it bad) and it put me into a paranoid panicky state for a few days. I visualize so much and it's a blessing and a curse because I can visualize myself in good situations but at the same time my brain thinks it's fun to visualize being crazy for some reason. But yea, if anything I think it's more derealization. I've read up on it a little bit and most the symptoms sound very similar to how I feel when I go into these states. As weird as it sounds I think what sets it off a lot is when I think of outer space and the universe, that type of stuff and it starts making me feel like my surroundings are almost dream like. I usually listen to music or work out to kind of push the feeling to the side but in situations where I can't immediately turn to that it gets pretty scary, I gotta face it head on then. Biblical explanation of the Gospel:
God doesn’t want anybody in hell, but you must understand why
we deserve hell and why those who refuse to live under His authority will go
there. He gave us the law (Ten Commandments) not to make us righteous, but
rather to show us our sin (Romans 3:20). God gave us free will and since Adam
sinned in the garden, sin is the nature of our flesh and we ALL have sinned. (Romans 3:23)
The law demands death to those who sin (Romans 6:23). Since we have all sinned, we all deserve hell.
Revelation 21:8 says that all liars will go to hell. Yes, even if you have lied once in your life, you are sentenced to hell - that's how
high God's standards are of moral perfection because God is holy and righteous, there is not one sin in Him.
For someone to be justified before holy God they have to be sinless, that's why everyone need Jesus Christ
      - for He lived a sinless life, died on the cross and rose from the dead on the third day.
None of us are good in God’s eyes, because for God good means moral perfection. We all
have broken God’s commandments, we all have sinned in our lives so none of us
are good. ‘’For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is
guilty of breaking all of it.’’ (James 2:10). Our carnal mind is hostile to God; it does not submit
to God's moral law and it never will (Romans 8:7). We hate the thought of God for the same reason a criminal
hates a policeman - we know we have sinned against God and are guilty of it and we don't want to be damned.
No good works will ever save you. You can't earn salvation by good works, because God will judge us for our sin.
Good News is that Jesus Christ lived a perfect, holy, sinless life and He died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
He was buried and He was raised from the dead on the third day according to the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever
believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.’’ (John 3:16)
We aren’t saved by our good works, but only by the grace of God through faith in Christ.
''For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God -
not by works, so that no one can boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Jesus said ‘’it is finished’’ (John 19:30) just before He died on the cross, which means He paid the fine for our sins
(past, present, future) to be forgiven only IF we repent and trust in Him.
This is how you can get saved from sin and hell - repent of your sins and trust in Jesus Christ. Get to know Him
      by reading God's Word.
So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.” (Luke 11:13)
''What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!'' (Romans 6:15)
''Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out'' (Acts 3:19)
Repentance is a turning away from sin and all evil works, and it always results in changed behavior (Luke 3:8).
Biblically, a person who repents does not continue willfully in sin.
While sorrow from sin is not equivalent to repentance, it is certainly an element of scriptural repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10).
Do not play a hypocrite. ''God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all.
If we claim to have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.'' (1 John 1:5-6)
(John 3:3) Jesus replied, "Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again."
If you have repented and have genuine faith in Jesus Christ then you will receive the gift of Holy Spirit and be born-again spiritually.
When you believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance
until the redemption of those who are God’s possession - to the praise of His glory. (Ephesians 1:13-14)
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. (John 3:36)
''You will know them by their fruits'' (Matthew 7)
If you have been truly born-again with the Holy Spirit and He has regenerated your heart, you will desire righteousnes -
to do what is good and righteous in God's eyes, to seek God everyday in His Word and prayer, to strengthen your relationship with God.
You will no longer desire to willfully continue living in sin but will want to obey God out of your love for Him because of His amazing grace
revealed to us through the death and resurrection of His Son.
''Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.'' (2 Corinthians 5:17)
''For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.'' (Eph 2:10)
You will have a testimony - of what your life had been before and how has it changed now when you have surrendered it to Lord Jesus Christ.
As a declaration and affirmation of your faith in Jesus Christ, get baptised in water because He commanded us to do so.
In John 3:5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.''
''Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit'' (Matthew 28:19)
''Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.'' (Acts 2:41)
''And this water symbolizes the baptism that now saves you also - not the removal of dirt from the body,
but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God - through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,'' (1 Peter 3:21)
''We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that,
just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.'' (Romans 6:4)
''Having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God,
who raised him from the dead.'' (Colossians 2:12)
Please get right with God and get to know Jesus Christ personally today before it’s too late, because there’s not much time left!
"But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.’’ (Mark 13:32)
Get to know Christ through God's Word - Bible. At first I recommend reading Gospel of John and book of Romans. God bless you!
Jeremiah 29:13 - ''You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.''

Joey I've never found anyone who puts my exact thoughts and feelings into such accurate words. Your work is truly a comfort for me. Two quotes I would add:
"I do my utmost to attain emptiness; I hold firm to stillness." -Tao Te Ching
"Be still and know that I am God." -Psalm 46

Yea unpopular opinion but instagram and Facebook being behind vpn in Russia is the biggest blessing anyone can bestow on their population... ever since I stopped feeding the urge to check the feed on either platform I have felt this accumulating energy of mental concentration.. for the first time since my early childhood (before facebook and instagram were a thing) I feel like I'm enjoying the everyday small moments, in people, places and things around me... it's almost as if I'm enjoying life and even just THINKING About things brings me pleasure... it's an unbelievable feeling... for the love of God if you are struggling with mental health, try to avoid social media, video games and other highly rewarding artificial activities for 30 days... it will change your life..

      😉
So before you jump on the communist bandwagon thinking that banning things is good for anyone other than who who banned them, start thinking about how we as people can take responsibility for ourselves.

It’s hard to find words to express it, but this is something I’ve been experiencing for months. I feel so much pressure both to find SOMETHING and because everything is too much. I didn’t find out what it was until a couple months ago. You can call it a lot of things, and none of them are easy to find legitimate resources on. Dopamine addiction, overstimulation, screen addiction, lack of self-discipline, etc. It boils down to a need to nourish my humanity instead of distracting myself from my world.

Cell phones went from portable tools to pocket TVs. I’ve been off all social for a year and I can honestly say it’s been the best decision I’ve ever made in my life. Humans were not meant for this constant 24/7 stimulus. The only thing that distracts me from time to time is UA-cam itself. Now, some may classify it as a social media and I can agree with that. But whenever I don’t have it on my phone everything changes. Social media and constant connection to everything happening at every second your perception on life and how life is changes. However choosing not to engage with it and becoming blissfully ignorant allows you to make your own perceptions within life and also engage in things more meaning that can expand your mind. Our parents, grand parents, and great grand parents didn’t have this. It’s fairly new and it’s extremely destructive.

It really is always amazing. I and we all know how detrimental constant overstimulation is to our mental health. News of war, highlight reels on Instagram coupled with fears about the future. Unfortunately, I'm not at all surprised that there are so many people with mental problems. Nevertheless, I'm sitting here on my smartphone , typing in this text and then scrolling to the next video to get a dopamine kick. It is really incredible.

This is the most important video on UA-cam right now!
The amount of overstimulation that “The feed” brings is almost like crack, but widely available to everyone.
I’ve been a slave to “the feed”, and this video perfectly describes how it feels. Your reality becomes warped, and your world becomes fucked.
More insights; It’s almost like “the feed” is causing almost all of your problems, but it’s also the solution to those problems. That’s probably what keeps you hooked, FOMO. Doomscrolling despite the harsh consequences, so that you don’t become unaware of another catastrophe.
Btw, if I could reach out to TV networks around the world, I’d definitely play this video on every TV screen in existence! Thank you, Better Ideas, for such an amazing and insightful video!

I constantly keep thinking about how much I love to put the phone down or shut down my pc but I'm even more afraid if I let go of them I start overthinking again which feels like an endless drowning
