  • Trevor Brazile talks about how he positions his calf horses, breakaway and tie-down, in the box to help set up the run from the start. He talks about a couple common things he sees that can actually work against the roper and how he manages his horse's hips, shoulders, and nose.

Could you do a video on the steps in a calf run and the technique to each?

Trevor will you talk about the position in which you rope a calf from? I swear most kids want to crossover and rope from the left side of the calf. I get crossing over if you are throwing your rope but in my mind you rope a calf slightly off to the right of the calf or straight behind the calf. Right or wrong?

The way I was taught is keep the calf off to the left or right in front. But I definitely wouldn’t mind hearing what Trevor has to say
