Ok! That vista driver doesn't work with my k150 clone, gives the error about being phased out. But here's what worked for me, somehow. Go to device manager, right click the error, then update, browse, let me pick, select disk, and select the driver from 3/12/2010, v3.3.11.152. There was another one on my computer from 2008 but that didn't work either, anything >2010 doesn't work either (there's only two of them, each from 2021). If the driver isn't installed, google around because it's probably out there somewwhere.

If money is an issue, I would get a Microchip clone (PICkit3 at Amazon). The black programmer will do almost anything, but it is expensive.
