So can retro viruses be fatal if their is no way to check them or be removed from the DNA sequence? Also the way the virus entered the cell, was that some form of endocytosis?
HIV is a retrovirus and the virus itself is not fatal, however it replicates in and destroys Helper T cells which are critical for a healthy immune system. Therefore, a person with HIV dies of other diseases because they have a weakened immune system due to the retrovirus. I am not an expert in viruses, so I am not sure of many more examples.

Zheng Yes, retro virus are fatal and a virus either injects its DNA or enters via endocytosis.
