    HELPFUL HINT:
    Hi everyone I just wanted to share a little trick that I tried and had great success with. If you take a very thin strip of your tape and put at the bottoms of your wire sets it will help keep the sets separated. This also helps to keep your wires flat and makes the process of weaving a little faster and easier. Hope this helps. Thanks again Christina for all that you do. You are a rockstar!

    Masterfully done. You should work in pure gold lol All the gold in the world fits in four olympic swimming pools. I guess we need another Nova explosion to create more gold lol I might try one the weave one I tried the braided. I took it apart wrong wire.

    I really enjoyed watching this and your close woven wire bracelet, but wonder why you don't just fold over the tips of the shorn wire ends to give the glue something to grip? You wouldn't even need to do this to all of them I would think, but certainly on the outer edges.
    And your accent adds flavor to your videos. Very pleasant.

    Is this wire sterling silver or copper wire silver plated? My 6mm wire seems much harder and is the cheaper copper covered wire. Can you share what exactly the wire is and where you get it from please. Like others I love your designs, your presentation is so clear and I love your Yorkshire/Danish accent. Thank you Christina for such a great resource

    • @CSLdesigns
      @CSLdesigns  10 років тому

      Cathy Evans Sure, no problem. The wire I use is a copper based wire that is coated in sterling silver and then an e-coating that makes it hypo allergenic and prevents tarnishing. I buy it from www.jewellerymaker.com I hope that was helpful :-)

I buy my wire from www.jewellerymaker.com and I think they deliver to Spain. You can use this code RQCX5Y to get £10 credit if you order with them. I hope that helped :-)

    To S.A. M. I can't seem to reply straight to your comment so I hope you get this. Thank you very much. It isn't as difficult as it seems, because if you make a curve and it isn't quite right, you can still adjust it until you're happy with the curve, but how you work with it is completely personal preference. If you feel more comfortable using a jig to create it it certainly can't hurt to try. I don't see why it would work. I would love to know how you get on with it :-)

  • @CSLdesigns
    @CSLdesigns  9 років тому

    To Carlos Silva. I hope you get this as I can't seem to reply straight to you. The wire I used in this tutorial is a copper based wire that is then coated in sterling silver and then has an e-coating which makes it hypo-allergenic and helps prevent tarnishing :-)

    beautiful bracelet, thank you for the video, looks hard to make so perfectly, someone like me needs a jig, do you think that would work? - a piece of wood with nails in the exact places to bend the wire against so it will be even?

  • @lhossbach8657
    @lhossbach8657 10 років тому

    thanks for such a great video, I asked at Jewelry maker for the 22 gauge wire but they don't have any. Can you recommend any other places to buy much greater lengths of 22 gauge non tarnished, just I'm finding it very difficult to find wire sufficiently soft, also how do you straighten your wire, I use plastic pliers but still can't seem to get the straightness you achieve?

    • @CSLdesigns
      @CSLdesigns  10 років тому

      Leigh Hossbach No problem, and thank you. Unfortunately I can't recommend anywhere else, as I only buy my wire from jewellery maker at the moment. I am also waiting for them to get some more stock in myself. They said it should be within a couple of weeks. So fingers crossed. I either use my fingers or nylon coated flat nosed pliers to straighten my wire. It might be the wire that makes it hard to get it straight if you said you are having some issues with it. Maybe the hardness of it. I hope you find the wire you need and figure it out. Sorry I couldn't be of more help :-)

  • @magdalene74

    Beautiful design, just one question though, how "wearable" is this? if someone grabs your wrist wrong (thinking kids) are they going to kink it beyond repair? will the wire break? is it more or less delicate than it looks?

    • @CSLdesigns
      @CSLdesigns  10 років тому +1

      Summer Noybn Well, of course all jewellery can break, but I would definitely say that it is stronger than it looks. Because the 0.6mm wire on it's own isn't that strong, but because so many lengths get used and it is woven in between each other like it is, it ends up being quite strong, because it kind of locks into place with the weaving. I hope that helped :-)

  • @janetjoslin3011

    Really lovely bracelets and a very informative tutorial. I will definitely have a go at making at least one of them. Would either of them be suitable for a 7-year old girl with, maybe, 5, rather than 7 segments in the pattern? Also, can I use 0.20 wires for the decorative twist, as I have a lot of that size wire from making bobbin lace jewellery? Unfortunately, with bobbin lace, I found it difficult to manipulate the wire around the bobbins, as the spaces between pins were so tight, I had to undo a lot and they kept kinking, so I thought of using it for wire wrapping instead. If I can attempt any of your bracelets, I think I may be able to use my bobbin pillow for the weaving, and use pins to keep the segments in the correct position at the end of each row. Thank you for having subtitles on your video, as I am deaf and have to lip-read, and find videos without subtitles very frustrating, especially if they don't show the work close up, even with full screen.
