WOW this came out really well!! I love the little shrubs and such. It gave it more realism. I'm going to get that glue that you use. It definitely sounds like good stuff.
Extremely nice build! The extra shrubs are a great idea and really make the base pop. You've got a good eye for detail. Pleasant colour palette overall on the kit, making everything look unified. I would have gone with a little extra inkwashing around the leaves on the path and ground to simulate shadows. A little tip for you regarding lightblocking; Tricky when the interior surfaces are exposed like this kit, but I use a metallic (silver normally) underneath or over whatever colours I'm applying. It blocks much more effectively. You can go over it with any colour you like then. If the interior of the kit is sealed, I leave the silver exposed to help with light bounce inside. An enjoyable video. I'm so glad Moebius have released this kit. Like you I was bummed out when the PL release came and went so quickly.
Hi I’ve just bought this brilliant kit and looking at the amazing results that you achieved has inspired me to go all out on this too! I’ve also just finished the Moebius Grim Reaper kit and must say this company sure know how to produce quality items. Thanks for sharing and happy modelling 👍
Nice job!!! It looks so beautiful!!.. I recently bought this and was wondering if you could help me out? With which colors I should get and the glue and other things lol?
Hey there, thanks for the nice words. I applied my white base, let it dry, then washed it with a very thin black tint and rubbed it off, taking some of the white paint with it and griming up the paint that was left just enough.
Nice work. I'm just curious as why you didn't use any primer. I have always thought that the plastic needs some tooth for the paint to adhere too. Your paint job loooks great. How many coats were applied without primer? Thanks.
With this plastic I didn't need to prime. Others I do, the Deadpool one was so slick I had to prime it. In most areas there are two coats on this. The mask I did three or four so it got that thick crackly look of the beat up rubber mask in the movie.
So I finally got everything together but the head doesn't quite fit on right and I can't get it to go any further this is really annoying because it was such a pain to get together. Should I just use tape for the head or clay?
Great job! I have this kit myself and was thinking of painting with the craft paints also. Quick question though! With the kit being styrene plastic, will the craft paint stick to it or did you use a primer? Thanks! Again great job too!
Just curious if You run the Craft Acrylics through an airbrush to paint this kit and if so, what did You use to thin down the paints. The kit looks great and I was thinking about building one for this Halloween as a decoration.
hpiguys Workshop Wow! You did it all by hand? The kit looks great! I was thinking about buying some of those Craft Acrylics because it is cheaper than Vallejo paints. I have about 30 bottles of Vallejo but its getting expensive. I'm always looking for cost effective ways to build My kits. Thanks for the info regarding the Windex. I use Windex to clean My airbrush and paint brushes but havent thought about it much as a paint thinner. Take Care.
Yup, all by hand on this one. I did not prime, just washed the release off the plastic and then painted with craft acrylics. I rarely seal my kits paint jobs before weathering and details. I paint with a color a bit lighter than what I want it to be when done, so that when I wash and stain, it naturally darkens the first coat for me. When I have to use decals, I do seal the decal down once dry though so that it doesn't pull up with weathering.
On this one , Squadron green putty. Seems to dry nice and fast and that's what I prefer so I can get back to sanding in a few minutes on a thin joint. Most of the putties are pretty good out there. I don't use Testors putty as it takes a while to dry and gets really hard which makes sanding more difficult.
Thanks for the nice words. Most of the screen shots I looked at came across as a nice dark blue. I have really bright LED lights in the workshop so the model also looks lighter shaded on video. According to the Michael Myers fan site, the overalls were JCP Big Mack brand, in either Charcoal Grey or Spruce Green and the film only picked up the blue shade of the dye due to lighting techniques and filters. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
hpiguys Workshop the best shot where you can tell. is just after the bullys get Tommy to fall on his pumpkin. the all run off . and one runs right into michael in broad daylight. and like you said like a charcoal black. but. that is a great way to tell.
MrUnterward actually the first 2 Halloweens the coveralls were Spruce Green and heavily weathered, they looked various colours on film due to lighting. :) sorry just wanted to add that.
Great job. The addition of the shrubs was a very nice touch!
Thank you!

Bondene is a great glue. Thanks for the nice words as always!

Can you please list all the paints you used, besides the ones you mentioned.
that's dope
Thanks!
Thank You for you help
Great job! I have this kit myself and was thinking of painting with the craft paints also. Quick question though! With the kit being styrene plastic, will the craft paint stick to it or did you use a primer? Thanks! Again great job too!
I show it primed in this video.
Just curious if You run the Craft Acrylics through an airbrush to paint this kit and if so, what did You use to thin down the paints. The kit looks great and I was thinking about building one for this Halloween as a decoration.
When I need to, yes, I will thin the craft paints with windex and spray them with my airbrush. In the case of this kit I brushed it all by hand.
hpiguys Workshop Wow! You did it all by hand? The kit looks great! I was thinking about buying some of those Craft Acrylics because it is cheaper than Vallejo paints. Thanks Shannon, you too!
What u use to black wash it?
Great build. I plan to try some craft paint. Did you use an airbrush?
On this it was all hand brushed, but I do use airbrushes for larger surfaces or when I need a smooth coat like on a vehicle.
This whole kit was handbrushed? Did you prime the kit first? Did you clear coat the paint before washing it.
It looks great
Yup, all by hand on this one. I did not prime, just washed the release off the plastic and then painted with craft acrylics.

How many coats did you use on the porch? I’m painting now and it’s not working well
I don't recall, this video is quite old.
You can always spray a base color and brush over that for the effect you want.
My grandpa has that motel
what kind of filler putty did you use on your seams, there is so many brands out there, trying to decide on what kind is frustrating. Thanks
On this one , Squadron green putty. Seems to dry nice and fast and that's what I prefer so I can get back to sanding in a few minutes on a thin joint.

thank you.
How much would you charge to paint one of these models for someone ?
I'm flattered but I don't do commissions. Thanks!
Where can i buy this?
Should I paint everything first?
Could i get a paint guid for this kit
it does amuse me how everyone makes his overalls blue. when they were actually black. good job though.
Thanks for the nice words.

Where did you buy iy
towerhobbies.com It may be hard to find now, but google the model name in the title and it should come up on Ebay, etc.
did you airbrush this ?
All hand painted with craft paints. Easy and inexpensive.
thanks for the fast response, im currently doing this kit but i am a novice at models. Did you use primer ?
I did not prime the kit and it was all hand painted with craft paints. Enjoy!
Would you sell it
The kits are available on Ebay currently, not too expensive.
omg i must have this kit. i hope its still available
Thank you!
