Human pride loathes the suggestion that God orders everything, controls everything and rules over everything. I couldn't help but sob watching this just now. I prayed and cried out to God and said God are you even going to help me?...after a situation with my 6 year old son who has autism. I know He is sovereign and I know God is doing things I can't see even though I am going through very hard things.

I think that the biggest challenge we face is these God's sovereignty and God's goodness. I have no problem with GOD sovereignty as long I KNOW that GOD IS GOOD. Because the biggest lie that the devil said is that GOD is NOT GOOD( Genesis 3). If I believe in GOD's goodness I can rejoice in his sovereignty. The problem really is that people really HATE GOD
The most clear sign that God is good is that He suffer us to live. He endures those who hate Him. We became the mockery of His glory but He who is sovereign is waiting for the right moments so may His righteousness be manifested.
Amen and amen!! Dr. Lawson articulated the sovereignty of God so eloquently in this sermon clip. This is the sovereign God that reigns over all; not passively, but actively, doing everything according to his will. Isaiah 46:9-11, Proverbs 16:9, 33, 19:21, 21:1, Psalm 135:6-12, 2 Chronicles 20:6, Daniel 4:34-35, 5:21, Acts 2:23, 17:25-26, Romans 9, 11:33-36, Colossians 1:15-17, and Revelation 19:6 all testify to the sovereign rule of the Lord in majesty and power. It is a shame that this attribute is so disdained that many in the church want to ignore it or redefine it to fit their own way of thinking (instead of what the Bible clearly says). But no matter what we think, God is who He is, the sovereign God in control, and no emotional objections or scripture misinterpretation will change that. And praise the Lord that He is sovereign.

Absolute sovereignty.....the most comforting yet terrifying truth of the Universe. The wicked deny it because otherwise they would be forced to fall to their knees in terror and forsake their sinful ways. A true comfort for the elect of God for we realize that nothing, not even our own failings can tear us from the safety of Gods loving hand.

Even though God is behind creation, that doesn't mean that God is behind everything that happens within creation.
Since God has given us free will, we are capable of being creators in our own right; including creating suffering for ourselves and others.
This particular misunderstanding, that God is causing our suffering and perhaps punishing us, is one of the most dangerous misunderstanding promoted by religious teachers; for how can we become free from suffering if we don't understand what's causing it?
As long as we believe that lie, we will blame God or others, or our circumstances for our suffering and not see that we are responsible for our suffering.
Our mistaken thinking, and the negative emotions and negative actions that flow from our thoughts causes our suffering.
Depending on what we choose to believe, and how we choose to respond to life; we create more Love in the world or the opposite.
When we choose to express the opposite of Love or cause harm, it is not God that is at fault.
God gifted us with the freedom to choose and to create, and we eventually learn from our choices to be better creators; to create happiness instead of suffering, and it is suffering that teaches us this; suffering points us away from what is anti-life, anti-Love.
Our own personal suffering is the so-called "punishment" we receive when we make choices that are not aligned with Love; that is the only "punishment" meted out by God.
We are designed to suffer whenever we miss the mark, which is the meaning of sin. The mark, the target or goal, is Love; we suffer whenever we fall out of alignment with Love.
Suffering and joy are part of the guidance system we've been given; the homing device, which when followed, will bring us back home to Love.
Suffering tells us that we are believing a lie or taking a wrong direction; while joy tells us the opposite.
If we don't want to suffer, then we must stop believing or doing what causes us and others suffering; and start believing and doing what brings peace, Love and joy.
As a dad, with a wife and three children I was the leader of that house. Metaphorically speaking I reigned over the house and I was responsible to God. Now I find out God reigned over all so it was impossible for me to make a mistake since God reigns And no one ever committed a murder, God had them commit murder, rape, incest, you name it - you blame God. I’m sorry even though a person reigns over a kingdom it doesn’t mean that people can’t do evil of their own choosing, and from being infected with pride from Satan himself. You think that Satan is having no impact on this world? And the evil we see must be God’s will. Well this is interesting news to me. I guess all those warnings in the Bible about watching out for Satan - he’s like a roaring lion seeking to devour people. Either your use of the word reign is wrong or there’s a great deal of the Bible warning us of Satan that is completely unnecessary. Which one is more likely to be correct? Just opening the Webster’s dictionary you’ll find -

It does not say that a sovereign is dictating every single movement under its control. It may have the power to do it when It chooses, but that doesn’t mean it is doing it.

I wonder similar things but I believe that those of Gods children who have suffered most are actually the most blessed. It doesn’t make sense in an earthly sense, but when you view it through the eyes of eternity it does. Suffering creates character and depth, we become more like and closer to Jesus. Look at all the people who have ‘great’ worldly lives, they are shallow and empty. Our lives are a vapour here today gone tomorrow, we are judged and rewarded for what we do and say here, we enter the Kingdom of Heaven only through much tribulation.

God gave humanity free will, but this preacher says that God makes all decisions in human's life himself. I disagree this! God knows everything what we will going through but he didn't make choices instead of us.

God created time and chance which enables true freedom in which he gives up control, where he lays down his sovereignty so that we can choose our own path either with or without him and this is not preordained.

It was good news until he first said God was supreme and he is the only ONE GOD in heaven on his throne and that God is King then he said it is God the father God the son, and God the holy Ghost and that they were communicating to make this world and how it is being controlled first he said it is ONE God then he turn around and said it was THREE God's in one Wow. This man is obviously confused. Their is only ONE GOD, ONE GOD and it does not read anywhere in the Holy Bible that Jesus is called God the Son. It does not say THE its clearly says OF Jesus is the Son of God Jesus is not a God himself. and the Holy Spirit is not a entity of any kind the Holy Spirit is a gift from God to his children
You are correct. Jesus made it plain that he was God's SON and not God himself John 20:17 "I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God." You will notice that those who support the trinity never use God's unique name as this makes a clear distinction between Jesus and his father. So what is God's name Psalm 83:18 says "May people know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth." At John 17:3 Jesus said that coming to know God leads to everlasting life. How can we do this if we don't know his name? Jehovah God wants us to draw close to him and just like any friend that starts with us knowing and using his name (James 4:8). Joesphine. I want to remind you that Steve Lawson NEVER never said, "it was THREE God's in one" as you claim. This is a lie on your part and your own New World Translation says that when you lie, "all liars-their fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulfur." Revelation 21:8. NWT. You have been deceived that the Watchtower claims that those that believe the trinity believe in 3 Gods in one. We believe in ONE God in 3 persons. This will help you from the New World Translation. Thomas clearly called Jesus God when he said to Jesus, "My Lord and My God" in John 20:28. Please note that Thomas called Jesus God with a capital "G" which as you know he is calling Jesus the true God. Jesus does NOT rebuke him but actually gives a blessing on all those who will believe as Thomas. The Watchtower hates this verse since obviously it contradicts their theology.

@@jerrybenson you must remember that all that they had at the time of God was the books of Moses and since Jesus preformed all those miracles and they were somewhat primitive and when they seen all those miracles and casting out demons, healing the sick and raising people from the dead what else would you call him? Is Jehovah God in control of this world? What does the Bible say? At 1John 5:19 "We know that we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one." Who is this "wicked one"? Remember when Satan was tempting Jesus he offered him all the Kingdoms of the world... he even said "Then the Devil said to him: “I will give you all this authority and their glory, because it has been handed over to me, and I give it to whomever I wish." Luke 4:6. So then we see that God is not the cause of the bad things we see around us in this world. He does however have a beautiful future planned for faithful ones. Revelation 21: 3,4 says "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” How can you be part of this wonderful earthly future promised by Jehovah God? Jehovah's Witnesses offer free home Bible studies to help people learn the truth from the Bible and about Jehovah God and his heavenly Kingdom that will soon take control of the earth away from Satan and those who side with him to bring about the paradise-like conditions talked about there in Revelation. Beware of False Prophets (like the Watchtower) who will deceive MANY! Matthew 24:11. The WATCHTOWER claims salvation is in an "organization". Jesus is a created being, an angel named Michael. Jesus did NOT rise bodily from the dead. The Holy Spirit is NOT a person. Jesus in NOT God and the trinity is false. Christians can no longer go to heaven as it is full since 1935. Jesus returned invisibly in 1914. There is no hell. The end of the world was to take place in 1914, 1918, 1925, 1975. All ADMITTED false prophecies. Their doctrines are always changing such as the "faithful and discrete slave" mentioned in Matthew 24:45 is now 8 men in upstate New York, the Watchtower governing body. They use a corrupt Bible, the New World Translation that has been doctored to fit Watchtower interpretation. Thousand of Jehovah's Witnesses have permitted their children to die by withholding a blood transfusion which the Watchtower says is forbidden. Of course this all appeals to sinful man as "men love darkness rather than light" John 3:19.
@@jerrybenson The new World Translation is just a translation, thats it. It focuses on primarly restoring the divine name and updating the text to be more understandable as no one speaks in thes and thous anymore. While we have misfired on some dates like 1975 the organization has NEVER claimed to be prophetic and i defy you to come up with one quote where the the Watchtower actually says that. Rather we are looking for the signs of the times. We are actively keeping on the watch for prophecy to be fulfilled as Jesus told us to (Matthew 24:42). You are very critical and throw out acusations with ease but you offer no proof. So lets look at some proofs. Jesus commanded his followers to preach the "Good news" of the "kingdom" Matthew 24:14 "And this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come." And Matthew 28:19, 20 "Go, therefore, and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you..." Who is doing this work? Are you? He says "all the nations", thats interesting because not only is the Watchtower the #1 published magazine in the world but it is also produced in hundreds of laguages and distributed in over 230 lands. And since its inception it has heralded "the kingdom". Oh and by the way its free of charge... no monetary motivation just "good news". "Come... take lifes water free" Revelation 22:17. Jesus also said his followers would be persecuted (Matthew 5:11 and John 15:20). Last time I checked we are the only religion in the world that is under ban (Russia banned Jehovah's Witnesses in 2017). If someone wants to become a catholic or a Muslim or Jew, no one bats an eye, but if someone starts studying with Jehovah's Witnesses watch the fireworks fly. I have seen it my whole life. And why? We premote peace and biblical values and moral standards. We don't participate in wars or politics. We are hard workers and law abiding citizens and yet we are vehemently hated throughout the world. Why? Its because we are true followers of Christ Jesus and just as the world of that time hated him it also hates us. Your vitriol is actually fulfillment of Jesus words at John 17:14 "...but the world has hated them, because they are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world"

Deuteronomy 18 states that if a prophet utters words that do not come true, they are not from Jehovah and should be put to death. Watchtower has claimed to be Jehovah's Prophet, an important point to reflect on in light of Watchtower's string of failed prophecies. 1975 was just one of many false prophecies. The Watchtower is a "FALSE prophet" and must be rejected.
Here is a sample of Watchtower claims to be a prophet:
Watchtower 1972 Apr 1 pp.197-199 'They Shall Know that a Prophet Was Among Them'
So, does Jehovah have a prophet to help them, to warn them of dangers and to declare things to come?
IDENTIFYING THE "PROPHET"
These questions can be answered in the affirmative. Who is this prophet?

"For an answer, people should listen to the plain preaching by the remnant prefigured by Jeremiah, for these preach to men the present-day fulfillment of Jeremiah's prophecies. Who made them a prophet to speak with the authority that they claim? Well, who made Jeremiah a prophet?"

"commissioned to serve as the mouthpiece and active agent of Jehovah … commission to speak as a prophet in the name of Jehovah…"

As a false prophet they also have a corrupt bible translation that has been adjusted to fit their interpretations. Hundreds of verses have been altered which is exactly what you would expect from a false prophet.

The Watchtower is therefore under safe guidance. It may be read with confidence, for its statements may be checked against that prophetic book." @@komotos2414 Debating about the validity of the Watchtower's "prophecies" is irrelevant. Jehovah Witnesses deny the deity of Christ, deny the Triune nature of God, and deny the person of the Holy Spirit. I've talked to enough of you several times and out of the mouths of Jehovah Witnesses they have verified all these things. You're "religion" is a works-oriented religion with no grace; it completely contradicts Ephesians 2:8-9. I fear for your soul because you will be one of those saying to Jesus on judgment day, "Lord, Lord..." (Matthew 7:22), but Jesus will say to you, "...depart from me, ye worker of iniquity" because He never knew you. You need the true, life-saving gospel:
What is the gospel? The word gospel means “Good News,” but to understand the depths of the good news, we must understand the bad news first. We must understand that every human being are born sinners. What is sin? Sin is defined as breaking the absolute moral laws of God and coming short of His glory according to 1 John 3:4 and Romans 3:23. What is the absolute moral law of God? They can be summed up in the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:1-17) and God’s measurement of perfection is so absolute that if you break one law, you are guilty of breaking them all (James 2:10). Sin isn’t just what you do (a verb), it is who you are (a noun). Every thought, word, and deed of mankind is against God; no one seeks, understands, or fears God at all (Romans 3:10-18). Mankind has inherited this sin nature from the first humans God made, Adam and Eve (Genesis 3, Romans 5:12) because they disobeyed Him. Because we’re sinners by birth, once we die, we must stand before God and give an account to Him as our Creator for breaking His laws. God is holy, righteous, infinite, eternal, self-existent, all powerful, all knowing, as well as our lawgiver and judge (the Bible reveals this throughout scripture), therefore, He must rightly judge His creation for his actions. Everyone will be found guilty according to God’s absolute standards and must be sentenced accordingly; we’ve violated an absolute, eternal God and His punishment will be absolute and eternal. He must punish sinful man to the lake of Fire according to Revelation 20:11-15. You see, man’s only payment for their sin is death, yet there is a way to eternal life (Romans 6:23). How? This is the Good News; God has provided Himself as a pardon for sinful man by coming in the flesh as Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is God the Son and the Son of God, the second person of the Godhead (the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit). The sinless Son of God was crucified brutally, died on a cross, and rose again to defeat death, to illustrate that He is God, and to offer redemption from sins. Redemption is being bought back to a relationship with God. God does this out of love and if we trust and confess that Jesus died and rose again, we will be saved from the penalty of our sins and forgiven (John 3:16, Romans 10:9-10). How do we believe this? We repent of our sins, which means to have a change of mind about our sins through a godly sorrow (2 Corinthians 7:10), which leads to trust in Jesus Christ. This is known as saving faith. Not wishful thinking or faith by convincing ourselves, but a supernatural revelation in our hearts from God that leads to faith in who Jesus is and what Jesus did. This is known as being born again spiritually by God. God will pardon your sins, grant you eternal life in the next life, and a changed heart to live for Him. This is the Good News of salvation in Jesus Christ; He died and rose again to offer the pardon we can’t pay in our own works or righteousness. In fact, Jesus Christ is the only way to God the Father and heaven (John 14:6), therefore, the only way to forgiveness and eternal life is by Him. This is the Good News being offered today and to reject it means you stand before God when you die, relying on your own righteousness, and you will be found guilty. Yet if you repent and trust Jesus Christ today; you will be saved from your sins. Trust Him today for today is the day of salvation. I pray the Spirit of God will lead you to repentant faith in Jesus Christ, because the Watchtower Society's teachings won't save you, they will just damn you.
