The sport is as safe as the person doing it! - Take lessons kite where safe and respect the wind and the forecast! - In my opinion the best 'sport de glisse' I have ever tried and enjoyed!
Naish only does this lip service to kite surfing because he makes money selling his brand in the big kitesurf market. Off the record he loathes it, it's kids stuff.

I must admit that i tried to do this and it's very very very easy ! Much easier then windsurfing.
