I am new to VCarve. You didn't set a Toolpath for for the text. But whether you do or don't, you can't see it in the preview of the model's Toolpaths. And if I set it as a separate Toolpath, it still won't show in the preview of all Toolpaths. I don't understand the interaction with the model and the text.
Hello George and thanks for the question. I suspect you missed the option at the bottom of the VCarve toolpath form that says "Project Toolpath onto 3D model." That is normally the option that folks forget to check... and to be honest I do sometimes too. Let me know if that helps... ~Todd
@@vectric Todd, Thanks. I’ll give that a try as soon as I change my identity. I blame it on age impairment. You put out some great tutorials. Thanks for the help.
Hi Glen unfortunately you cannot search by narrator. Thank you for your kind comments regards Todd's videos though :) we will be sure to pass them over :)
Is there a video that walks through setting up the tool paths? I know how to do the rough and finish cuts and I can get the text. What I can not figure out is the cut out if I wanted to cut this out and hang as say a plaque since the only vectors are the letters. Is there an option to trace the 3D to create a vector for the cutout?TIA
Glad you got it figured :) Thanks for your feedback! We have various videos that walk through typical 3D Machining options you can find them here: www.vectric.com/support/tutorials/aspire?category=TutorialCategories&playlist=3DToolpaths I hope this helps!
Hey Jeff, this one is a little tricky to answer as it all depends on the size of the project you are making, the machine you are using, the tool feed and speeds settings you have for the tools and the material you are machining. It's also dependent on your rapid rate settings too (based on previous machine times ran in the past).

Is there a way to search by this narrator? I really like his builds.

I think I just figured it out. However, if there is a video on it that would be great. Thanks
