Thank you, had big problem with hiace linkages and this really helped! very much appreciated. It's very hard to find toyota hiace videos for european type hiace.
Nice to see such a simple mechanism! I hope my windshield wiper is stuck on permanently because of the windshield wiper switch broke during the Finnish winter and not the motor since it still works, but if it is the motor control board as gone I know now how to replace it, thanks so much Peter!
Thank you for demonstrating the proper technique. I tried the tapping technique and have reviewed this video several times and your other wiperarm video for Corolla 2007-14, including having someone else watch this video and try the tapping technique on my 95 Corolla wiperarms, but neither one of us could free the wiperarm end from the threaded bolt; both wiperarms are seized. The other person doesn't think greasing the arm end will work . Prying the wiperarm end with a flathead screwdriver lightly also failed to work. Do you think the next step for me is the wiperarm puller or a pry bar? Which is a better choice for 95 Corolla and what size or brand? Do I need to remove the hood completely to use either the wiperarm puller or the pry bar (I prefer not to if it can be done with the hood on because I am petite and weigh less than 100 lbs)? Any other recommendations or suggestions so I can be prepared and armed with all the needed knowledge, supplies and tools to free these seized wiperarms without causing damage? Thanks.
Hey there! Really helpful tutorial, it helped me and my dad fix our corolla's wiper joint part, however.. we have a small problem. First time we did this the wipers would swipe down and go back up, standing still on the view. Overall they wiped, but instead of going up then down, they did this the other way around. Then we opened it up again and realized those joints pointed up, not down with the triangle. Now.. we fixed the drivers side joint and that wiper wipes up and down again. But no matter how hard we pay attention to the video, the middle joint keeps rotating up once we install the motor. Meaning the wipers wipe towards themselves (P goes down and up, D goes up and back down) What can we do to fix middle part? PS: It's the Corolla E11U from 2001 if that changes anything
Nice Video!! thank you for posting. Question: I followed the video, and i replaced the windshield motor 1999 Toyota Corolla. But now, after i completed... driver wiper works as it should, passenger wiper goes DOWN instead of UP. so the wipers go in 2 different directions??? Any suggestions?
Moj Peter. I owe a 1998 corolla G6 and use almost only your channel to fix stuff, including this video. It is so helpful for me and I love your channel. I tried to find a corolla 1998 (e110) g6 hatchback video on your channel on how to change the door speakers, but no luck 😢. Do you have a video showing that? Br Erik
Hello Peter, I hope you are good. I have been facing a problem in my corolla 1994. When I turn my wiper to first level (i don't know the name of this level, I think its interval) the wiper doesn't move and there is a cracky noise I can hear, from the steering. When I move a step down, to 'Low' level the wiper starts to function normally but hangs and lags a few times while going up and lags a few times while coming down. When I move the wiper switch to 'High' level the wiper doesn't move. Can you tell me where the issue will be? Is this the issue with Wiper switch or Wiper motor?
Thanks for your video! What problem could be occurring if the windshield wiper stays on all the time, even when the lever is in the off position? The fuse is in good condition, and I don't know if it works with any relay...
i have a toyota corolla 2000 1.4cc petrol engine. And I have a "check engine light" that lighting up in my instrument panel...any idea what that could be? Manual book just says that i should check electrical system..Do you know of any "typical" issue with that car? Awesome videos! very informative. *Never mind i looked around in your video list and found it there:)
I found this useful. Anyway, it lacks awareness on how to secure that the wipers will start snd stop in the right position after a change of the motor and/or the mechanical parts between the motor and the vipers themselves.I had to redo the job once, and dicuss with a more mevhanically inclined friend, to get it to work.Apart from this, a very useful video.
once u remove the motor what size is your adjustable wrench u use behind the motor ? is it 19mm? im about to do that on my sister 97 tercel it look just the same
jp marts I just did this on my 95 celica. I used a 12 mm on that bolt. Keep in mind the direction is reverse from the normal direction because its backward. move wrench to right to loosen (towards car interior)
Hello, can you help me. I just took out the whole system to change the bars of the windshield wipers, but I made a mistake and did not check before taking them out, now that I already put it together everything works badly for me.
@@PeterFinnTheCarDoctor the problem is not the arms, but the motor. since when assembling it works badly. I was wondering if the motor has any regulation ...
I have done everything checked everything and one of my wipers goes down other goes up I cannot figure it out I took it apart and cannot see what the problem is
Handy for reference only. DO NOT REMOVE THE NUT FOR THE MOTOR TO THE LINKAGE!!!! This is not the correct procedure, took me hours to correctly align. The correct procedure is on the net.
English is obviously not your first language, but you communicate very effectively. Thank you very much!

Adam Carrera Yes, I had similar issue. Please disassemble parts and look how parts moves. You could see the idea.
Do you need to take the linkages out or is that because you are replacing them with new ones?
+Bruce Villa Hi. I was doing oil lubrication to linkages.

Hello. You should replace this whole wiper system.
I was expecting you to show if the assembly works after you installed it. I'm interested to see if the alignment timing is correct.

Relay or steering wheel switch
@@PeterFinnTheCarDoctor Do you know where the relay is located, could you tell me, do you have a video on that, for a 1994 Toyota Corolla?

Test4Subject Hi. You should do fault scanner test in your car. This test found possible issues.
Peter Finn yeah i also saw your video of that. i might invest in a OBD hardware. I will do that ASAP. thanks

I removed my linkage but mine is too stiff, it needs a lot of power to move
