Superb autumn film and ride. Greetings from Poland. By the way still remember your awesome productions with Aaron Chase like Trictionary & NWD. It`s important part of my life : )
Thanks Jeff for riding my home track!. Glad you got out in Roanoke's national forest land to the tip of the mountain bike wonderland iceburg. My buddy, who lives in the shadow of Dody, is responsible for the trail's name. Come on back to Virginia for more revelations!
Dody is great! It's cool to see this part of Virginia showcased. There are a bunch of other great trails in the same area. Awesome downhills with mostly fireroad climbs back to the parkway. Check out the blue ridge parkway epic on mtbproject next time. It hits some of the best and ends with Dody. I also just listened to the interview you did with singletracks. Keep it up, and thanks.
Love the running commentary Jeff. Reminded me of the ride I did today in a UK deciduous wood. Couple of inches of leaf litter and amazing autumn colours.
Oh wow! Leaf surfing is crazy, with no gloves either, Jeff. I always seem to find the boulder or hidden stump, lol. I'll keep in mind to ride the edges more. Thanks for the video and advice.
Jeff sure do. Check out some of the trails here. www.mtbproject.com/directory/8013819/michaux-state-forest You could stay in Shippensburg, Pa, which is a ten minute ride to some of the trail heads. I am in the area and would be glad to assist., setup a group ride, or help in any way that I can. Also, Rattling Creek trails a little farther north are amazing too. Grew up riding those trails. www.mtbproject.com/trail/86977/rattling-creek-imba-epic Same goes for this one too. Lodging is a little more tricky in this area as it is in the sticks but trails are more maintained there. Not sure how to PM you to get you my contact info. Let me know how I can help as I am getting a new Trance29 or Habit and will be hitting the trails hard next spring.
I think riding in the leaves can be more scary then any if the crazy stuff we do! I busted up my shoulder the day after my wedding on a trail covered in leaves. That made for one interesting honeymoon hahahaha!
Best route is up the fire road to Black Horse gap in the Blue Ridge Parkway, south on the parkway about 2 mile, trail on left across from great valley overlook
Awesome video Jeff! I am a local and we just filmed a run down Dody about 2 months ago. We got caught in a huge downpour not long after we started down and the trail literally turned into a creek! Lol.....( Dody Ridge Downpour)........check it out sometime if you get a chance and thanks again for all you do for the sport!
That was awesome, beautiful and at times a little scary.
Thank you!

That was just another really rad. Lip. Ohh and I totally dig the ending, “Go Out There and Be a Boss”!!! Classic 🤙🏽
thanks!
Even though I'm not a big fan of green in bikes, your bike just looks incredible Jeff! And the video was great.

Nice! Road it 6 weeks ago! Great camping at the base.
You can camo there? Nice!!

Bikes Trails and Greenways thanks for checking it out
I rode this for the first time yesterday. Crazy trail. It seems to be a lot more washed-out and rocky now compared to when you rode it in this video.
Wish you would head up to south central PA and hit some of the Michaux/Caledonia trails. Be safe, have fun, and keep up the great work!
next spring! Got any recommendations?
Jeff sure do. Check out some of the trails here. www.mtbproject.com/directory/8013819/michaux-state-forest

that's what I heard, I went up it to get a look before I rode down
damn leaves scare the crap out of my..like skiing on a icy slope
seriously
moving fast dude..
thanks!
Great video Jeff thank you. Riding leaves can be tricky. Curiously, dry leaves seem to be almost worse than wet leaves. Post ride tick check?
always

Thanks for checking it out!
Sooooo, the fire road wasn't sweet??? ;-)
Dody’s is a great local trail! Did you just ride that or did you do the whole Spec-Dody loop?
Just Dody, it started pouring...
Can someone tell me what "janky" means?
jan·ky
/ˈjaNGkē/Submit
adjectiveINFORMAL•NORTH AMERICAN
of extremely poor or unreliable quality.
LOL, hope that helps!
@@JeffLenoskyTrailBoss yep, that helps!! I figured thats kinda what it meant :)
It's an adjective that perfectly Describes Dody Ridge. I rode it for the first time yesterday. Janky is an extremely accurate description. 😁
