While I think he does (did) 'over train' his hands, I thought the basic idea (of bone conditioning specifically) was: when bones form there are many micro gas bubble cavities inside the formed bone (these are formed in the chemical process that builds bone). In nature, these 'bubbles' cause the bones to break (generally) along straight lines. And, help to unify broken bones when setting (like a 'micro vacuum' effect). After conditioning the bones correctly, these bubbles fill in with calcium deposits (this should only go on inside the bone). This makes the bones denser and far less prone to breaking from impact. imo: The big disadvantage of this bone conditioning is; if you break a bone that has been conditioned in this way ..it tends to shatter and not break along a straight line. Вообще если каратэ заниматься так как в ВДВ обучают рукпашному бою, то наверное да. А так как учат во всяких спорт школах (в основном все занятия сводят к изучению катов), то это можно назвать спортивной гимнастикой.
Меня никто не бил, ни на тайквондо, ни на карате, потому что там спаррингов не было в принципе. За то сколько раз отрабатывали удары по воздуху и тренера больше интересовала техника выполнения. Честно говоря не знаю где учат по другому. Если у вас по другому, я только рад.
