Yeah, I'm also out of the loop in regards to all the hate. I'm still enjoying the game, though I admit there are some issues, they don't kill the fun for me personally.
I'm really liking the game, just got Ellen and getting her caught up with everyone else and she's slapping hard 😊 people are gonna hate no matter what even if they themselves probably don't understand why.

the games's gameplay is goated, the character design and art too, the tv mini game is what makes zenless zone zero, zenless zone zero, but I gotta say the extreme amount of unnecesary/boring text in the game is what I could agree the hate for, is the only thing, sometimes Im using the skip button because it's like IDGAF LET ME PLAY and, yeah there's that
