I appreciate the explanation, it was helpful. Although you did start off by saying you prefer to keep the pump at 12 hrs, and then you did the opposite by setting it for a 24 hr cycle. Thank you
What happens to the settings if there is a short power loss due to weather? I am in Florida and we often have storms that shut the power momentarily and we have to reset all the digital clocks in the house. We usually leave the house for several months every summer.
Some pools do run 24 7 but its not the most common. Also hes confusing people the 12 and 24 hr setting does not cause the pool to run that length, all it does is 12 hr setting is regular time but 24hr is militairy time.
@@bm421 12 hr. vs. 24 hr. is simply the time display setting. In 12 hour setting it will be 1-12 a.m. and 1-12 p.m. In 24 hr. mode it will be 00:00 (midnight) - 23:59 (11:59 p.m.). Both are still 24 hr. days. The latter obviates the need for a.m. / p.m. distinction. When he chose 12 hr. setting and a 10-10-4 schedule at 12:00 p.m. (noon), his program ran speed 1 from 12:00 p.m. to 10 p.m., speed 2 from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., then speed 3 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (noon) again to complete a 24 hr. cycle.
I am also here in Florida and my first pump burned out at 5 years running it 24/7 . I am running my new pump 14 hours a day. It’s working fine now. Hopefully I can get more service out of it.
That happened to me and no the manual does not tell you what to do. I'm sure by now you figured out what to do. Next time you have an issue with the external control, follow this link. Don't be fooled by the crappy video, he explains it well, and saved my day for sure. Best of luck. ua-cam.com/video/fuqT4IAVK-k/v-deo.html
I have just spent 4 hours trying to get this pump to work. IMHO Useless over complex digital c##p. How hard is an on off switch that works independent of overly complicated programing.
I dont like this pump it's a headache I prefer the 1nes you turn on and they stay running ...don't have to keep messing with it to keep it running 24/7
Thank you very much . Its the best instruction I have watched
Thanks, I just installed this pump, I love how quiet it is!

he was saying he prefers a 12 hour clock format rather than 24 (i.e 1700 hours)
Oh to change it to 12hrs?

Thanks, Craig. Clear, visually precise, user-friendly instructions. Exactly what I was looking for.

Best video so far that I have seen on settings this pump up. Thank you
If you don’t program it to be on 24 hours a day, does it have an automatic cut on when temperatures are near freezing?
Thank you Craig. when you doo programing the board should be on auto ? service? or timeout ?

When you need to backwash or use Waste do you just shut the pump off with the Start/stop? And does it remember all the settings?
Yes.

Making these a single speed pump is brisk business…folks are begging me to make the variable speed go away.
Thanks, Joe..👍🏼
I am in Florida and run 12 hrs and 12 hrs off .

Alex thanks for the link that solved my pool issue.
But if you set it up for 12hour. How it’s going to run for 24hrs?

Get a single speed motor and matching impeller/seals..bail on the computer junk

Have fun with your electric bill then.
Why in the world would you run your pump 24 /7 it’s gonna burn up Quick and you’re not gonna save any kind of money on electricity.
