Even though you've been having so many problems with this build, I have SUCH a desire to make my own! I want something that doesn't put heat in my room, and easily accessible from multiple rooms. Love seeing you get this stuff figured out!
Also wow, your daughter asking the tough questions we all wish had been asked before about the different types of screws XD
My dad did this with a rack server a while ago and wanted to have all our pcs in a similar config. Never did it unfortunately
i need my pc to create heat cause im cold like all the time but my pc's temperature doesnt really go up by much
@@koxrod lmao back when my brother was in the small room in the house he had 2 OC profiles called summer and winter which undervolted in the summer and overclocked in winter, it worked really well and he ran the heat really low
As nice as those are,@@sggsquadpresents , there is still just a bit too much latency or artifacting at times with those solutions. I wouldn't want to deal with those issues while just using my computer on the daily. Those are good for now while I don't have a proper setup though
I'm the opposite@@koxrod ! I'm always way too warm/hot, I need to get as much of it out of here as possible!
So cool to see you getting your daughter involved while assembling the system. I remember when I was that age being involved in stuff like this was like the coolest thing ever. Also she was so right about the screw heads lol. How nice would it be if just about everything took the same bit.
It's great when a dad just passes something on to his child.
Dude, your kid helping out is epic!! They looked like they were having a lot of fun!!
10:10 I appreciate that you gave her the real answer and not something dumbed down. A lot of people don't realize how profound of an impact that can make for a kid. I'm now 40 but still remember some conversations like that I had with my dad and others when I was about her age.
Glad to see LTT picking up their most popular projects. I hope you get your views back so the Lab can still happen.
I have a feeling they are using the time to finish out the old projects if they can, while polishing the improved protocols from the Week.
9:06 "Why can't the screws be all the same shape?"
Leave it to a kid to ask the questions we've been wondering our whole lives.
well... it used to be... until the micro-technology age started rising with apple iPhone... we used to still have right to repair built in as part of the manufacturing process... now? everything silicon and chips...
Jake is wonderful. He's just great, I can't really describe it. His technical knowledge, I believe, is enjoyable to listen to and his enthusiasm is infectious. He has been a great addition.
in my opinion he always comes off as condescending
Awesome, people need to see more of this side of Linus, I love working on stuff my kids, being a good dad says so much about a man
great to see the little one asking questions and learning with her father, very wholesome stuff and kinda hilarious when linus gets corrected xD
I can see his kids being brilliant at pcs when they are older XD
Or terrible. This is a super walled garden. If they were just tossed an old pc and told to deal, they'd learn a lot more. Screaming daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad whenever something breaks isn't as informative.
@@IdiomatickI agree, but if he teaches em along the way then it will help them
@@Idiomatick if Linus is the dad he says he is then if they scream for dad when something goes wrong then they'll be taught how to fix it instead of it being done for them
they're*
That is if they're interested in it which isn't a guarantee
16:30 atleast it looks like they are having fun!
11:27 OMG SO PRECIOUS.
Cheeeese!! 😁
That "Jake's Techs" section was pure gold and thoroughly improved the viewing experience by adding a change of pace in the video flow as well as recapturing my attention by providing interesting information.
Kudos!
I really do like these additional inserts with corrections and explenations. It is a lot of additional work, but it’s appreciated. ❤
its so cute seeing linus teaching the daughter tech stuff and her asking and showing intrest in it.
I felt every syllable of that "thanks" from his son. My kids don't understand how good they have it
8:24 - “We’re using tiny little fingers.” - You sure are Linus. You sure are.
Appreciated the PSA from Jake on Riser cables. Not sure if this is part of the recent focus on QA, but either way, it was a fantastic (and much needed) part of the video ^_^
I remember watching videos of the langly house where Linus is holding his kids when they were just tiny. Really neat to see them growing up and enjoying his craft
Be careful with those pci brackets for the cooling. I've had those leak before with no real pressure drop and it destroyed a motherboard
9:45 - I love Linus' Daughter's appreciation and attention to detail. She does not cut him off or tell him to get to the point like my 9yr old daughter does me. Don't worry though, Daddy Linus, it is coming soon.
You know, im usually a guy who doesn't like kids, but seeing Linus and his kids and how they're helping him makes me happy
I'm the same way, but linus is a great dad and he's got some good kids as a result.
Same, I’ve never wanted to have kids before, but seeing Linus’s family makes me reconsider
She
11:59 Linus’ face fading in the back ground of the mountains was amazing
My like is solely because of how cute Linus kid is when working with her dad. Wholesome!
They really did put the linus face at the background of mountains, 11:59
She's well on her way to being an engineer that hates being an engineer 🤣
I love seeing Linus getting told off by his own daughter at 18:00
I gotta say the videos are more fun to watch now. I guess the quality control is working. Less pressure by time is also always good for your mental health ltt team, stay healthy and thanks for the video!
Ngl, that kid is super smart. Wholesome video too, props.
"Some of you might want to follow along from home" SOME is an understatement. WITH WHAT MONEY LINUS. WE HAVE NO MONEY
What do you want him to do? Only show Dell Optiplex systems from 1994, that he bought at Goodwill?
It's very nice to see this family man side of Linus, keep up the good work!
How is collin enjoying his new promotion to water pump
"Can I put the screws in please?" What a sweetheart. That made my heart happy.
Not sure which I love more. Linus's interaction with his kids or the edit at 23:08
28:08?
The video is only 26 mins long?
Weird, must've misread. It's 23:08

Ohhh, gotcha!
A 10 year old kid has more wisdom than all the corporate companies 😂😂😂
2:44 the look on Linus face is priceless 👌
Loved Linus' daughter holding him to account
A random Wild Camera Pokemon is lurking around in the background.
Trap him in a PokeBall, quick.
8:45 My 3yo had the same joyous reaction when I demonstrated the magic of using the screwdriver to pick up a dropped screw.
Dad’s making their kids do the work for them😂 after the age of 14 I did most household repairs for my dad. And I remember my mom telling me how her dad would would have her watch his CNC mill in the 90s. However kids always get distracted so the mill would always crash because my mom wasn’t paying attention and not hitting the E stop when she was supposed to. Just make sure you check the work your kid did especially on something expensive like a computer don’t trust anything anyone told you that they already did.
Linus explaining threaded fastener standards to his daughter made my heart sing. Build stuff with your kids; nothing else will make them as happy as creating with you.
Awwwwwwe! That is so heartwarming to watch Linus and his daughter build together! Growing up in the 80's-early 90's in rural America, technology was just not for women to understand and take interest in. It makes me so happy to meet other women as technology professionals, and to see Linus fostering the love of technology with his daughter.
been a fan for ages and i love how over the years you see the kids grow but also linus n how awesome a dad he is.
My 11-year-old loves watching your daughter do what he wants to do and asking the questions he has. Finally, a kid in a video who is adding meaningful content. To top it off it is encouraging my kids to do something I want them to do!
