I was a teenager in the 70's when we returned to the Philippines from USA..... Heard this band in PI.. Extremely Hot band specially during that Marcos regime... For those who know the story... I do!! Anyway DAKILA You ROCK!! My Dream came true.... I finally got to meet them here in Cali! But I still didn't get that "Free CD" as I was promised!!! LOL
Great night for 70's Latin rock celebration and Autism awareness. Dakila composed of some of my relatives(Bustemantes, Magtoto) and talented musicians that created awesome sounds with meaningful messages for the culture(s) of the Mission scene back in the day. Thank you guys for bringing back some great and proud memories!!!
I just found out about this band a few months ago. I bought the 50 anniversary Lp and I loved it. A great friend just sent me a link to this video. Awesome stuff!
The first time I saw them was in 1972. The band I played in (The Gabe Christopher Band) played the same concert as them in Antioch CA. When they arrived to the gig, they were in a station wagon and all you could see were afros LOL

Bert passed away a few years ago. He was a quiet, unassuming person with a little yellow VW and kick ass hands on guitar. That was in the late 70's
