Zillakami isn't really well known. He just has a big fan base world wide. Most people who listen to rap literally never heard of him, since for the most part... he isnt much of a rapper, hes more punk/trappy and now grungy than anything else. Denzel you are spot on about. People don't listen to denzel or know him by name but if you randomly go 'i am the one dont weigh a ton...' (ultimate song), people will be like 'yeah i know him'
I like that he barely pauses the music when he listening to the song
I’d say genre wise it’s grunge influenced rap. It’s definitely unique. Haven’t heard anything like it and I love it.
sos and zilla explained that they dont like to call it trap metal which is what most call it and instead said that they would rather explain it as a new take on nu-metal but I agree but more on the side of it being rap influenced by grunge but same difference anyway

@@humphreysonbiden9452 trap metal is what he normally does for city morgue, the songs in this video deviate from that style somewhat, "not worth it" being a clear example, hence me refering to these tracks as "grunge-influenced" instead of just saying trap metal

the album is mostly chill zilla
i always knew the genre as “trap metal”. although some instrumentals aren’t as heavy as others, it often pairs with the aggressive vocals as shown in projects by “city morgue”
2 of his albums, as good as dead and as good as dead vol 2 have some absolute classics and some of his best songs on there you should check out some songs from them

He mentioned it a few times in songs, stuff like “1 was taking 4 now I’m taking 1 less” on Addictions and on other songs he said his girlfriend has been trying to keep the pills away til he fucks them out of her. Which isn’t great but he has more lines about his girl helping him stay away from drugs
