Hi, coming a little bit too late. I got this setup as well and yes the feel was terrible at first glance. I must mention i play exclusively assetto corsa. I had no details whatsoever, but I found that you must lower pretty much all effects from the wheel like natural damping, spring, etc, and let the game drive it. Super important, some ppl recommend putting 100% force in the wheel and then adjust final ffb torque in the game. DONT, I tried, it's terrible, no details. I use 50% game effect in cammus setup and from 35-100% FFB for cars depending if I want to simulate steer assist or not. I think I have like 7-8 NM with this setup. Plenty of force, no need for more, it's even slightly too much. Pay attention to car mods because sometimes they have different ffb multiplier. In the end YES, you have to tweak it A LOT and test different settings. Over time if you spend effort trying new tweaks, you'll find perfectly what suits you. I also boost road / kerb / abs effects a LOT, because otherwise you don't quite feel them with 20-30% in AC. For other games idk. That's the con of buying that, you don't have plug & play, at least for settings, but hey, you cannot just throw money and expect to have a magical setting that luckily fits you right away. Same for pedals, etc... you need a lot of time to tweak it for you. But it's worth the effort. I haven't tried high end elite wheelbases but, i'm dead sure cammus given the price is an OUTSTANDING PURCHASE. If you don't want to spend 2-3k just on the wheelbase itself, cammus DDWB15 is probably the go to. Maybe now the DD 12 NM is interesting as well if you want finer details (i've heard it's slightly better performing than the C15). I hope this is going to help someone in the future. EDIT : i definitely recommend the CAMMUS WHEEL SETTINGS SHOWN AT 3'57 AS A BASE, but change game effects to 50 instead of 100 !
Nice review, it's all about the tuning as you know, don't give up on tuning. Every wheelbase feels off till you make it feel like you want. :) you have a very calming voice and I was able to watch the whole review.
Gud to see Cammus steppign up with new gear lately...Biggest problem is how difficult to order! Also, they need better designers as their products always look generic, weird and fugly...They need to look at Moza for inspiration.
