Our son just matched a leukemia Patient he will be donating his marrow on October 4th 2021. Our son is a hero.
Your son is amazing.
He’s amazing 🤍 my sister got diagnosed with leukemia on Monday ! And we’re waiting to donate !
How did it go
I am only 20 years old and am in need of a bone marrow transplant. your son is a hero and I thank him for helping people like me.
Bless him
After being signed up for about 3.5 years. I received the call today of me being a match for somebody. I’ve donated blood about a dozen times in my life but I’ve never done a bone marrow transplant. This video helps put my mind at ease fs.
After 3 years I am a match. I will be donating to an 8 year old girl who has blood cancer.
During your donation, are you under general anesthesia?
God bless you, thank you for your donation and saving a life
@@xXSasukeXx89currently battling with aplastic anemia which is a blood cancer waiting for a bone marrow..hoping for the bess frl
I got matched with someone this week
How did it go?
How did they extract stem cells?
Wow!!!
I just matched with a leukemia patient! I’m here to gain further knowledge before my donation procedure
How did it go? I just got matched today
May God richly Bless you until your cup overflows and continues filling and overflowing your cup with Blessings !!!
I’ve been a registered member of Anthony Nolan for 12 years still waiting on a call to say I’m a match for someone. Would love to be able to help someone in need.
Steve Kidd me too but like 3 years
GamingWithMarMar I know they say it’s 1:1,000,000 chance to be a match to someone but I’d rather donate when I’m young (I’m 29) rather than when I’m 65 lol just hope we can be useful to someone in need at some point. Good on you dude.
@@petertobin7214 Hello age mate.
As a leukemia patient, how do you sign up to be a recipient for a match?
@@ceriquil there's organizations like "Be the Match" and they send a cheek swab to the donors home, donor does the swab and mails it back in then voila, they're on a registry!
I think I'll probably match with someone i just have this feeling. Hopefully i can help someone. 💙to all
Im facing this problm plzzz help me
Do you live in the United states? Also I'm o negative blood type if that helps to know?
Sorry im from india
@@stardust7920042 being an O negative is great as this means that you can donate to pretty much any type of blood. Organizations who find donors are in need of people with the same blood type as yours. :)
Can I get help?
Very clear explanation! And great video! Thanks for everything you do
Wow this was very informative if I would of known it was this simple I would have become a donor a long time ago I give blood a couple of times a year anyway
All the more reason this needs more views
Wonderfully Explained!
If they explained in depth how the procedure is, if it’s painful everything step by step so we could better prepare more people would donate.
This is very touching.
Just turned 18 and I'm thinking of become a bone marrow donor and blood donor
김남준for President thank you so muchhh 💖 .
@@rhiannax1184 you dont have to thank me😊 I'm just doing what I believe is right
tomato dude how do you sell it?
Its a very simple process that can save a life, if more people did it patients will have more chances to find a match
Im planning on signing up my youngest daughter was a match for my 5 year old daughter with blood cancer...2 years later she is doing extremely well...donations are such a gift 🎁 we are thankful
Just donated today. I'd love to get a match around Christmas time this year, but I just learned chances are pretty low. That makes me a little sad.
Did it hurt ?
@@redwofu6691 They only collected my blood, and only after they have a match do they call me for the bone marrow. It’s been two years and still haven’t gotten any news
@@Juanah92 that’s a stress reliever
wow i watched this video and still have no idea how the surgery is done. very informational👍
I have a bone marrow disorder but I got a bone marrow transplant
Aftr watching the 100 I didn’t realise it was this calm
i have a question. i talked to a donor. i am hearing mainly the arm, but they mentioned their hip and spinal fluid. how does that work?
Is there any risk that the donor may have? My sister need it and I am very much scared
I'm willing and fully able but noone will answer my question about whether alcohol consumption affects donating.
Who do I have to contact to donate?
I'm from Brazil and I'm a donor registered there. But I'm having trouble to understand how to be a donor in US. I understood that there are many facilities (or companies) that I can do my registration and they can see the data from each other in order to find a possible match. Am I correct? Is registration for free or it will cost something depends on the company that I choose? I will do whatever it takes, but I didn't understand and I want to engage some friends to do the same.
I know of an herbal doctor who specializes in curing sickle cell anemia patient completely with herbal medications
wow. i really thought they were going to stick a giant needle in my hip
I'm praying I am a match and can help someone.
I am someone's match and I am very scared about the process I do want to help. I'm just scared
My son has thalassemia. I want him to have a bone marrow transplant. What's the process?
Prayers, I too have thalassemia. Does he have major or minor? Beta or alpha? I have Cooley's disease.
I'm a gardening person I'll get some one to live.
Does it hurt?
no
I signed up last month and hope I can help someone
congrats, someone is about to claim you did them wrong and now the government has your blood type and DNA on file LOL
Can you sign up as a non US citizen?
Francois Coertze The German man wasn’t a citizen.
Can a person donate more than once?
Yes
Whats the pay?
You don’t get paid
The pay is the ability to save someone’s life.
Meri behen ka bhi ye hona wala hai plzz uske liye duwa karna usko bhi blood cancer hai uski age 22only
Blood donner only give blood like blood donner camp.blood doner nt do any operation.
An apple a day keeps the doctor away! Looks like somebody didn't eat an apple a day! lol
One in a million Thanks for wrecking any chances I thought I had of helping my mom😡
xjoverkill Your anger is understandable but misdirected. Every bone marrow recipient has a 30% or so chance of finding a match within their own family. It’s not nearly so hopeless as one in a million, if it were hardly anyone needing bone marrow transplant would find a match and thousands find it every day.
xjoverkill it’s still possible though
How’s ur mom ?
Don't race mix then
Is this a myth. Does the transplant change your DNA? Are you no longer left with traits that makes it obvious you are a child of your parents?
Jorge I don’t think anyone’s heard about that
She mis spoke. They didn’t have same DNA. That is impossible. They most likely had same blood type / antibodies / antigens
It can happen but it is very very rare, there can be some areas of the recipients body that have the same DNA as the donor, but other areas still have their own DNA so parental tests are not complicated ☺️
Yea no thanks, I dont want another human with my blood in them. for MANY reasons...next thing I know Maury will be calling me saying "You are the father!" LOL
