- This is our 2nd visit to Shepherds Bush's "Best Kept Secret" Falafel Wrap place: i.e. only the people who need to know, know about it !!!
The other people can carry on going to get their falafel wraps from starbucks and pret a manger.
The shop is simply named "Falafel" and is located in Shepherds Bush and is very close to the famous Westfield shopping mall.
This tiny compact shop can probably count itself amongst some of the smallest falafel wrap shops of this world, it is absolutely tiny; but everything required is in place to produce some of the most delicious falafel wraps around.
There is no secret to the recipe & preparation because Chef Alaadin makes everything in full view of you.
The wrap is filled with: Hummus, Gherkins (Cucumbers which are Pickled Egyptian style in Garlic & Salt), Tomato, Lettuce, Homemade Chilli Sauce, Tahini and of course the freshly made Falafel.
What elevates the falafal wrap to a higher level is the addition of the chef's very own "secret recipe" dry sprinkle mix called "Doqqa. Further flavour is added with a generous drizzle of the chef's home made salad dressing.
What makes the pure vegan & vegetarian wrap such a treat is that the falafels are made to order and the flat breads (almost like an Indian style naan bread or roti) are tawa grilled so it's served hot.
The authentic Middle Eastern falafel wraps are served in two sizes:
Medium = £3.00 (Flatbread used is like a Saj bread)
& Large = £4.00 (Flatbread used is similar to a tortilla)
The falafel shop opens 7 days a week at lunch time and is located outside Shepherds Bush Underground Station.
✓ The chef Alaadin has run the shop now for 8 years.
Guinness World Records hasn't verified or confirmed whether this shop is the smallest falafel wrap shop in the whole wide world...........do you think you can find smaller???

I looked for this place a few times but seems to have gone now. Last year I walked along the road to see if it had moved and instead spotted a very small stall just inside the entrance to Shepherds Bush Market (the entrance near Shepherds bush market tube station) called I think Falafel King. It's not on google but can just about be seen on Google maps lol I had a really delicious wrap there and I hope it's still going. Hope this gentleman is still doing well too 🙏
I went past there last early Thursday morning, you're quite right it's not there anymore sadly.
I also saw the stall you mention Falafel King, they serve Sudanese falafel. You saying the wrap was delicious has made me add them to my list of places to visit.

Cheaper than the falafel wraps that you get here in Cyprus. And there's more falafel and salad and dips too. Mine cost nearly 10 euros, and was quite basic and not as fully loaded.

its no longer there at all, it WAS right outside the overground/tube station and bus stops so wasnt much of a secret... kinda overpriced, the bush market falafel is better at 4quid, near goldhawk rd.
